Is Thailand fun?

If you are not interested in transvestite shows, I suggest you don’t go there. As for Koh Samed mentioned by my friend above, with all due respect, that was a tourist attraction 10 years ago, and most of the people who travel there do so because it is close to Bangkok. If you have enough time, it is better to go to the south.

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and the most famous island, but it is not the most beautiful island. Some small islands near Phuket, such as Phi Phi Island, Phang Nga Island, Si Mi Lan (I don’t know if I spell it correctly), etc. are much more beautiful than Phuket. Most of these small islands belong to Krabi, Panh-Nga and other provinces. However, Phuket is a very good stopover, and it is also a great experience to watch the Phuket fantasy show when you have time.

The most popular island in Thailand besides Phuket is Koh Samui. Phuket and the above-mentioned small islands are located on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula, that is, in the Andaman Sea. But Koh Samui is located on the east coast, the Gulf of Thailand. In terms of scenery and resources, Phuket is in no way comparable to Koh Samui, but it is slightly better in terms of development. Personally, I think Koh Samui is more worth visiting than Phuket.

As for Chiang Mai in the north, Westerners like it very much. Mainly because the porn industry there is relatively developed, second only to Patia. But that’s not to say it’s not worth going. As the former capital of the Lanna Kingdom, Chiang Mai has many famous ancient temples. In addition, Chiang Mai’s night market is the largest in Thailand, and the goods sold are quite cost-effective, and Chiang Mai is also the center of Thai handicrafts. It’s also fun to buy souvenirs at the night market to take home. Another major feature of Chiang Mai is eco-tourism. The entire northern Thailand, including Chiang Mai, is mountainous and has high forest coverage. However, I personally think that the scenery and resources are far less than those in Yunnan. The only advantage is that it is highly developed.

If you have never been to Cambodia, I highly recommend the Northeast.

It used to belong to the Khmer dynasty, and there are many temple ruins from the Angkor era, which are well preserved and well managed.
