Traveling to Romania, what materials are needed to apply for a Romanian tourist visa?

Required materials for visa application

1. Apply for transit visa: a third country visa that allows the applicant to continue traveling, and provide a copy of the visa.

1) Valid passport. The passport validity period exceeds the visa validity period by at least 6 months.

2) Two recent 2-inch color passport photos.

5) Culture, science and technology, humanities, medical visa

⑴ Letter of introduction from the applicant’s employer, including the following: applicant’s name, date of birth, passport number, purpose of travel and length of stay, and how many days to apply for a visa. This letter of introduction should be signed, sealed and translated into English by the issuing authority.

⑵ Original invitation letter issued by the relevant Romanian authorities.

3. Apply for a long-term (Category D) visa

1) Application for a long-term business visa: A long-term business visa must be approved by the Romanian Foreign Investment Agency before it can be issued. Applicable to leadership and management shareholders or future shareholders of commercial companies. To obtain a license from the Romanian Foreign Investment Agency, the following conditions must be met:

⑴ A plan regarding the nature, scale, duration of the business activity, and the estimated number of employees required.

⑵ The funds required to put the business activity into practice, at least 100,000 euros.

⑶ The business activity should be of great significance in terms of capital, technology and employment.

⑷ The applicant is engaged in the same or similar business activities in this country.

⑸ Information required for visa application

· Permission from the Romanian Foreign Investment Agency.

· Constitutive documents of a company established in Romania.

· Certificate of verification issued by the Romanian Commercial Register.

· The validity period of the passport should exceed the validity period of the visa by at least 6 months.

· Two recent color passport photos.

· Visa application form.

· Accident, medical and rescue insurance covering the entire visa period, and the medical assistance insurance amount is at least 30,000 euros.

· Proof of residence conditions in Romania (hotel reservation or complete address of accommodation during the entire stay).

· Round trip air tickets.

· Proof of employment from the applicant’s recent employer. Prove the applicant’s position, salary, working experience and other information. The certifying letter should be signed and stamped by the work unit, and a notarized certificate in English should be provided.

· Bank deposit certificate of 100,000 euros, which must be notarized.

· Academic certificate, translated into English and required to be notarized.

· Notarization of criminal record and its English translation.

· Daily living expenses of 100 euros or equivalent in other currencies throughout the validity period of the visa.

2) Study visa

⑴ Letter of acceptance of admission issued by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research (should include tuition payment and payment account).

⑵ Tuition payment receipt for one academic year (10 months).

⑶ Living expenses of 250 euros per month during the entire visa period, except for Romanian government-funded international students.

⑷ Original academic certificates and transcripts, translated into English and notarized.

⑸ The passport validity period should exceed the visa validity period by at least 6 months.

⑹ Two recent two-inch color photos.

⑺ Visa application form.

⑻ Medical insurance covering the entire visa period, with a medical assistance coverage of at least 30,000 euros.

4) Family Reunion Visa

⑴ Approval document from the Romanian Foreigners Administration.

⑻ Proof of accommodation conditions in Romania (detailed address of the accommodation).

⑼ Air tickets.

⑾ In order to obtain approval from the Romanian Foreigners Administration, applicants with the right to reside in Romania need to submit an application letter and the following documents to the local authority in their location:

· Marriage certificate or proof of kinship as appropriate.

· The applicant’s notarized statement that these family members will live with them.

· Copy of residence permit.

· Proof of legal living space (at least 12 square meters per family member).

· Proof of source of livelihood.

· Tax payment certificate.

·Applicant for medical insurance.

· The application processing time is within 3 months from the date of submission.

5) Couple Reunion Visa

⑴ Original Romanian marriage certificate and notarized copy.

⑵ The applicant’s statement that his or her family members will live with him/her, this statement must be notarized.

⑶ Have proof of legal living space (at least 12 square meters for each family member).

⑷ The passport validity period exceeds the visa validity period by at least 6 months.

⑸ Proof of source of living – bank deposit certificate, salary certificate or pension certificate.

⑾ Identity document of husband/wife (Romanian citizen).

6) Religious and Humanistic Activities Visa

⑴ Notice from the Romanian Ministry of Culture or, if necessary, a notice from the Interdepartmental Cooperation and Support Committee for Humanistic Activities of the Romanian Ministry of Health and Family .

⑵ Certificate of identity issued by a representative of a religious or humanistic organization recognized by the Romanian government.

⑶ Proof of accommodation conditions and proof of source of living (at least 1,000 euros).

⑷ Notarization of criminal record and its English translation.

⑸ Medical insurance and health certificate (no infectious diseases that may endanger public health).

⑹ The passport validity period exceeds the visa validity period by at least six months.
