Where is Dongping Village located?

Dongping Village is located in Xiachuan Town, Qujiang District, at the end of the Qianligang Mountains. It is 38 kilometers away from the urban area and 518 meters above sea level. It is a magical ancient village in the large ravine in the northwest of Zhejiang Province. It is known as Zhejiang Province It was rated as a provincial-level farmhouse characteristic village and a provincial-level characteristic tourist village. There are ancient roads from the Tang Dynasty, thousands of miles of ancient trees, cliffs and boulders, lush forests and bamboos. It has distinctive original ecological characteristics, beautiful scenery that changes with the four seasons, and profound historical and cultural heritage. Dongping Village is located on the top of Dongping Mountain, with a long mountain road leading to the foot of the mountain. This "Ancient Tang Dynasty Road" was built because descendants of the Tang Dynasty lived here in seclusion to avoid royal disputes. The 1,144 steps are all paved with bluestone. After thousands of years of wind and rain, the stone steps have been worn extremely smooth by passers-by. There are groups of ancient trees on both sides of the ancient road, mostly maples and camphor trees. In late winter, the red maples all over the mountain are very spectacular. Rapeseed flowers, tomatoes, red maples, ancient trees, and ancient roads attract many tourists. The Dongping Mountaineering Tourism Festival every autumn attracts tourists from all over the world. The projects that tourists can experience include: mountain climbing, photography, sightseeing, leisure, camping, picnics, digging bamboo shoots, picking tomatoes, picking farm food, cooking farm food, tasting farm food and other activities.

The direct operating income from January to September 2012 was approximately 1.745 million yuan.

On December 25, 2019, Dongping Village was selected into the first batch of national forest villages.

On April 15, 2019, Dongping Village was included in the first batch of provincial traditional villages in Zhejiang Province.
