3. Former residence of Qi Baishi

Qi Baishi, a master of Chinese painting in China, once lived in Yuer Hutong 13 Courtyard. The sign of "Beijing Artists Association" is hung next to the courtyard gate. The yard is spacious and well protected. There is a big fish tank in the middle of the yard. There is no repainting here, revealing the original flavor of the old house door.

4. Mao Dun's former residence

Hou Yuanensi Hutong 13 is the former residence of Mao Dun. Compared with many deep houses in this area, Mao Dun's former residence is too ordinary and unremarkable, just a small courtyard with two entrances.

Extended data

Nanluoguxiang is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Beijing. The origin of its name should be because the terrain of this place seems to be hunchbacked, with a high middle and low sides. So at first, this place was called Luoguo Lane. In the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Nanluoguxiang, which is now well known. Because it is well preserved, it has become the most worthwhile place for Beijing Hutong tourism.
