Tourism in Badaguan Scenic Area?

Badaguan Scenic Area is located in the east of Huiquan Bay, west of Fushan Bay, south of Taiping Mountain in the north and Taiping Bay in the south. The scenic spot consists of five parts: Badaguan Villa Area, Taipingjiao Villa Area, Taipingjiao, Huiquanjiao and Yueyang Road Sanatorium. The scenic spot covers an area of 666,000 square meters, surrounded by mountains, facing the sea, with beautiful environment, shady trees, birds and flowers, far away from the noise and fresh air. Graceful villa buildings, beautifully designed courtyard greening, lush neighborhoods and rich historical and cultural connotations in the scenic area constitute a beautiful and distinctive tourist attraction, which has become a place for tourists to yearn for and linger.

Badaguan Scenic Area is named after eight roads named after famous passes in China. Later, two roads named after the pass and several roads not named after the pass were added, forming a villa area with ten roads named after the pass as the main street, but it is still called "Eight Passes" in customs.

Of the ten roads at Badaguan, seven are horizontal and three are vertical. These ten roads are: Shaoguan Road named after Shaoguan, an important pass in northern Guangdong; Jiayuguan Road is named after Jiayuguan in Jiuquan, Gansu, the western end of the Great Wall of Wan Li; Shanhaiguan Road, named after Shanhaiguan, the "first pass in the world" in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, starts from the eastern end of the Great Wall in Wan Li; Xiongguan at the junction of Henan Province and Hubei Province, Wushengguan Road named after Wushengguan; Hanguguan Road, named after Hanguguan, Lingbao Ancient Xiongguan in western Henan; Zhengyangguan Road, named after Zhengyangguan, the main traffic artery in northwest Anhui; Linhuaiguan Road named after Linhuaiguan on the south bank of Huaihe River in Fengyang, Anhui; Ning Wuguan Road named after Ning Wuguan at the mouth of the Great Wall in Ningwu, Shaanxi; Zijingguan Road named after Zijingguan, the ancient Great Wall Pass in Yixian County, Hebei Province; Juyongguan Road is named after Juyongguan, a gateway of the Great Wall in Changping, Beijing. In addition, there are sporadic roads such as Huiquan Road, Rongcheng Road and Huanghai Road on the edge of the scenic spot.

Since the 1920s, dignitaries, wealthy businessmen and celebrities from all over the country have come to Badaguan to buy land and build houses. Foreign consulates in Qingdao and foreigners living in Qingdao have also built villas here, forming more than 300 buildings with different styles. These buildings are distributed on the streets of the scenic spot, independent and unconnected. There are garden-like courtyards and all kinds of flowers and trees around the building. There are strict restrictions on the height and volume of buildings. Generally, the height is 2 to 3 floors, and the construction area is below 500 square meters.

One of the characteristics of Badaguan is the diversity of villa architectural styles. The buildings in the scenic spot have the architectural styles of 24 countries, such as Russia, Germany, Britain, France, the United States, Japan, Denmark, Spain and Greece, so they have the reputation of "World Architecture Expo". Tourists roam the quiet and beautiful streets of Badaguan, as if they were in a foreign country.

Another major feature of Badaguan is good vegetation greening. Since the 1960s, Qingdao municipal government has carried out a planned transformation of street trees in scenic spots, replacing common street trees with ornamental trees. Each road in the scenic area is represented by special tree species, forming a landscape with four distinct seasons and a hundred flowers blooming.

When I came to Shaoguan Road, I saw hundreds of peaches standing on both sides. Spring in Qingdao comes late and will not bloom until April. At that time, all kinds of peaches will smile and compete with the golden forsythia under the tree, which is particularly enchanting. After the tenth day, Ning Wuguan's begonia flowers are in full bloom, and the branches are full of flowers, stretching all the way to the middle of the road, forming a long corridor, which makes visitors linger. In summer, Lagerstroemia indica in Badaguan is the most prosperous, and clusters of red flowers hang on the branches, reflecting Zhengyangguan Road. Lagerstroemia indica, also known as "itch tree", has a smooth trunk and seems to have sensitive nerves. With a slight scratch, the red flowers and green leaves will tremble, as if they were ticklish. Lagerstroemia indica has a long flowering period. Flowers are always there from summer to autumn. It is known as "Lagerstroemia indica blooms for half a year", so it is also called "daytime red". Therefore, people also call Zhengyangguan Road "Flower Street". The hot summer sun is like fire, but tourists can't feel the scorching heat when they walk on Shanhaiguan Road, Hanguguan Road and Wushengguan Road. The tall and stout French phoenix tree on both sides of the road blocked the hot sun with its tall and straight body and wide crown. The official name of Platanus acerifolia is Platanus acerifolia, which is a broad-leaved plant. The autumn wind blows, and the five-pointed maple leaves on Jiayuguan Road turn from green to red, just like the beautiful scenery on the face. In late autumn, the tall ginkgo trees on Juyongguan Road are covered with fruits, hidden under the golden fan leaves, and there is a bumper harvest scene. . The north wind roared, and in the snowy winter, Badaguan still showed great vitality, and the cypress trees on Huaiguan Road and the cedar trees on Zijingguan Road were still green and evergreen. After the snow, pine trees and white snow are like pagodas decorated with jade carvings and silver ornaments, attracting many children and tourists who love snow.

In addition to colorful ornamental trees, the green space at Badaguan is also a must-see place for tourists. These dozens of large and small garden green spaces have their own characteristics, such as the Rose Garden on Zhengyangguan No.3 Road, the Peony Garden on Huanghai Road 12, the Cherry Gardens in Linhuaiguan and Zijingguan, etc. Between Zhengyangguan and Juyongguan, there is a big garden in which more than 400 kinds of trees are planted, including vigorous pine, mottled tiger bark pine, well-defined cypress and rare plants such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides, magnolia, cherry blossom, hibiscus and bodhi tree.

Charming architecture, a wide variety of characteristic flora, unique seaside scenery and pleasant climate make Badaguan a convalescent holiday and tourist resort with quiet environment and fresh air.
