Encounter in Yujiagou
Yujiagou Village is the easternmost administrative village in Liulin Town, Liulin County, Shanxi Province. Our first encounter was one afternoon after autumn. As soon as we met, I was deeply attracted by her beauty. I kept looking left and right, afraid of missing every scene. The Divine Fish Stone, the Divine Turtle Slope, and the Divine Snake Cliff are coming one after another following the villagers' instructions. They are quite similar, which makes people marvel. What's even more amazing is that the entire village is sitting on the back of a dragon, and the dragon's head happens to be at the entrance of the village. Yujiagou people are simple and pious. They endow every miraculous work of nature with the power of "gods" and worship them for thousands of years. While I lament that there are so many wonderful sights around me that are unknown to the outside world, I can't help but feel a little bit envious of the people here, because Yujiagou is also the ancestral home of Jackie Chan, the "most honest official in the world". When I first heard that he could be related to Jackie Chan, I was half-convinced. Could it be that the villagers were trying to use the celebrity effect to develop tourism, and they were forcing the news. But as the visit progressed, my doubts gradually dispelled. Documents are recorded in Baishuangli, Yongning Prefecture, Jackie Chan's ancestral home. The south of Yujiagou is today's Baishuang Village, Lijiawan Township, Liulin County. Yucun belonged to Baishuangli in the old days. In addition, the names of Yu Chenglong's father, son, and great-grandson all follow the characters in Yujiagou's "Yu Family Genealogy". This kind of gap in generations, I don't know if it is intentional or purely coincidental. I heard from villagers that in the old days, the thousands of acres of land owned by Yujiagou Village did not need to pay taxes or grain to the government. This may be due to Jackie Chan's kindness. I suddenly thought of the paradise on the high loess slopes depicted in the movie "Blood Drops", where men farmed and women weaved, old and young played, cocks croaked, dogs barked, and cattle and sheep flocked... Yujiagou at that time presented a unique atmosphere. Wouldn’t it be such a picture of a stable, peaceful and vibrant life? The land here has outstanding people and good innate conditions for the development of tourism. A few minutes' drive east along the mountain road is the county-owned Liangjiashan State-owned Forest Farm. To be precise, the forest here is far inferior to the Guandi Mountain not far away, but the mountain shocked me deeply. In my impression, most of the mountains in my hometown are docile, rounded and regularized by thousands of years of farming civilization, but the mountains in front of me are obviously unruly and sharp-edged. Looking at the mountain peak in the distance, I wondered if I could see Anguo Temple, where Jackie Chan once studied, over it. With this question in mind, I couldn't wait to walk deeper into the forest farm. One kilometer, two kilometers..., the pedometer on the mobile phone reminds me of the mileage from time to time. After walking for about four kilometers, it seemed that we were getting closer, but we still couldn't get close. If our companions hadn't been in trouble, it would have been getting late. I really wanted to keep pursuing to find out. Every time I return from Yujiagou, I look forward to the next trip, each time more intensely than the last.
Is it because the two peaks of Liangjiashan have not yet had time to climb to the top, or the dilapidated Jinchan Temple and ancient tombs in the heart of the mountain have not yet been found, or maybe it is because I want to throw a handful of the spring in front of the temple to the broken monument in the weeds to see What can I find? I believe that Yujiagou’s past has a story...
? Perhaps, Yujiagou’s future is worth looking forward to...
