Introduction and strategy of Huize Jiangxi guild hall

Huize Jiangxi Guild Hall, also known as Wanshou Palace, is a building with great historical and cultural research value, and also an important local cultural relic protection unit. This is the place of ancient Yelang Kingdom, and many ancient buildings are left behind. Here, I will give you a detailed introduction of Huize Jiangxi Guild Hall.

Huize Jiangxi Guild Hall, namely Wanshou Palace, is located at No.49, Sandao Lane, Huize Ancient City. The whole ancient building complex brings together the essence of architecture, wood carving, stone carving and brick carving. Jiangxi Guild Hall was recorded in the book "Chinese Treasures" and also included in "China Tourism Ceremony".

Jiangyou Commercial Gang and Wanshou Palace

Huize, known as Ancient Yelang Land in Qin and Han Dynasties, is rich in copper mines. During Qianlong and Jiaqing years in Qing Dynasty, the demand of the Qing government for copper mines increased, and Huize's mining chain flourished, attracting businessmen from Zhejiang, Guangxi, Sichuan, Jiangxi and other places to gather in the local area. Foreign merchants were guaranteed for their own interests, and fellow villagers raised funds to build provincial guilds.

Wanshou Palace was originally a folk temple dedicated to Xu Xun in Jiangxi. Xu Xun, a native of Nanchang, was appointed as the magistrate of Jingyang County, Shu County in Jin Dynasty. There is a legend in the south of the Yangtze River to control water and benefit the people, and people call him Xu Zhenjun. The Wanshou Palace in Huize was built by Jiangxi merchants in the 5th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (in 1771, it was the glorious period of copper merchant culture.

Jiangyou business gang is the earliest one among the top ten business gangs in China, which is famous for paying attention to business ethics, paying attention to honesty and doing things seriously. As long as Jiangxi businessmen have certain financial resources, the first thing to do is to build the Wanshou Palace.

Xu Xun combines the thoughts of Taoism and Confucianism, and advocates filial piety and faithfulness. These four words are exactly the business philosophy of Jiangyou Commercial Gang. Over the past few years, Wanshou Palace has gradually evolved into a Jiangxi temple and a Jiangxi guild hall, becoming a symbol of the Jiangyou business gang, symbolizing the wealth and strength of the business gang, and being a place for Jiangxi people to meet and negotiate affairs.

When Jiangxi people first arrive in other places, they will usually find the local Wanshou Palace to settle down. Jiangxi people who encounter difficulties in life will also turn to Wanshou Palace for help first. When the unrepaired Jiangxi Guild Hall < P > was in his teens, he and his friends searched for the lost kitten and walked into a deserted yard by mistake. Huge open yard, surrounded by dense trees, the yard is full of piles of rocks, piled high, and countless weeds grow wildly between the cracks.

In front of the rubble mound, there are a large number of dark ancient buildings, and there are no painted paintings. The messy spider webs are wrapped around the columns, doors and windows, and all the buildings look black. Among these buildings, the tallest house looks like a stage in a pictorial, and it is also covered with thick dust.

Later, the grandpa who nailed shoes at the alley said that the place where we went to look for kittens was called Jiangxi Temple. Grandpa also said that the stage was the best built in the temple.

Present situation of Jiangxi Guild Hall

Today's Jiangxi Guild Hall has been renovated by professional ancient construction teams for many times, with a total area of 7,549.92 square meters, 44 houses and a construction area of 2,874 square meters. The building complex faces south and consists of a gatehouse, a stage, a middle hall and a back hall.

The main entrance of the guild hall is exquisitely carved and the color scheme is traditional and beautiful. The paint color is mainly blue sky and blue, decorated with floating jade and silver wisps, and the gold powder between cornices and arches is along the border. The fighting color is brilliant and graceful. In the middle of the upper end of the gate, there is a vertical plaque of Longevity Palace decorated with gold, and a horizontal plaque with the words "Jiangxi Travel Huize Fellowship Hall" on it.

On the doorpost of the main entrance, there is a couplet "Art Gathering Hall leads eight provinces of Beijing and Copper, and comes from Jiangxi to run a merchant family skillfully". This couplet is written in gold powder, which is even more imposing.

The first entrance to the courtyard is the gatehouse and the stage, which is exquisitely structured, with triple front eaves and five back eaves. The design of the caisson in the stage is mainly based on traditional opera figures, with meticulous and colorful drawings, and the scenery is beautiful. There are 42 wing angles on the roof of the stage, corresponding to 42 landing columns downstairs.

On the front eaves of the stage, there are carved wooden three stars of Fu, Lu and Shou, with a green robe of Fu holding a child, a red robe of Lu Xing holding Ruyi, a yellow dress of Shou with white eyebrows and silver whiskers. The three stars stand with a smile on their faces, surrounded by gold painted panlong pillars on the left and right.

There is a "half-into-the-cloud" straight plaque hanging along the edge of the three-star wood carving, and a pair hanging on the left and right of the stage below: "The world is selfless, noble and low, and the ancient and modern dream exchanges only change clothes."

across the spacious courtyard, opposite the stage is Zhenjun Hall, that is, the middle hall. The door of the hall opens to the north, and the statue of the true king Xu Xun is sculpted in the hall. The doors and windows outside the hall are exquisitely carved, and the wood carvings, insects, birds and animals are lifelike. There are accessory halls on the left and right sides of the middle hall.

Go inward along the east-west corridor of the Central Hall, and you will arrive at the second courtyard. The back hall in this courtyard is Guanyin Hall, and there are three east and west wings on both sides of the back hall. The courtyard is paved with blue bricks, and there are several ancient trees. In front of the temple, there is a strange flower named "Butterfly Play Pearl". After more than 3 years, it is still flourishing, and flowers bloom in May and June every year.
