A 50-word letter to Taiwanese children

Dear Taiwanese children:

Hello! I am a sixth grade student at the No. 3 Primary School in Wudalianchi Scenic Area, Heilongjiang Province, mainland China. My name is Zhuang Siqi. We are thousands of miles apart but cannot see each other. I know from the book that Taiwan is a big island of our country. There are many places of interest, and Sun Moon Lake is a famous scenic spot in Taiwan. It has beautiful scenery, surrounded by green mountains and cascading mountains. There is a small island in the middle of Sun Moon Lake, called Pearl Island. The northeast of Pearl Island looks like a round sun, called Sun Lake, and the southwest of Pearl Island looks like a full moon, called Moon Lake, hence the name Sun Moon Lake. Alishan is one of the four major forest farms in Taiwan. The woods there are as vast as the sea. Every spring, the cherry blossoms bloom there and become even more beautiful. The mountains and plains are all pink. There are endless descriptions of the beautiful scenery of Taiwan. It is a good place that every child in Hangzhou longs for. How we hope that Taiwan can return to the embrace of our motherland, so that Taiwanese children can also come to our Wudalianchi to play. Diary Diary of a Primary School Student

Dear Taiwanese children, I want to tell you that I hope you will come to the mainland and come to my hometown Wudalianchi for sightseeing. My hometown is a famous volcano tourist attraction in my country and is listed as a world geopark. It has 14 volcanoes, roughly divided into east and west columns. In the east column, there are six volcanoes: Mount Morab, East and West Longmen Mountains, East and West Jiaodebu Mountains and Xiaogushan. In the west column, there are South and North Graqiu Mountains, Wohu Mountain, Bijia Mountain, Laohei Mountain and Huoshao Mountain. They are all recent volcanoes that erupted 260 years ago, and the volcanic landforms are complete. There are also Yaoquan Mountain and Weishan Mountain, one in the south and one in the north. Yaoquan Mountain is the lowest volcano among the 14 volcanoes. There is also a sacred spring there. Legend has it that the water at zero o'clock on the Dragon Boat Festival is the holy water that symbolizes good luck and can cure all diseases. Drinking the water at this hour can avoid disasters throughout the year.

Taiwanese children, although our place is not as beautiful as Huangshan or as majestic as the Great Wall, we still have beautiful scenery, fresh air, moving legends, and warm and hospitable people. We welcome you. Surrounded by mountains, the trees on the mountains are lush and green, and there is an endless sea of ??rocks, all of which are pure natural scenery. Especially in spring, the strange-shaped trees look like big green velvet umbrellas. The mountains are also full of unknown wild flowers, and the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant everywhere, dotted on the green grass, which is particularly eye-catching. It was like we were living in Forest Park. I really want to take you to the mountains to play.

You must have never seen snow, right? Let me tell you that every time it snows, it looks very beautiful here. It looks like a building made of pink and jade. The earth seems to be covered with a thick quilt, the house seems to be covered with a thick coat, and the whole world is covered with snow. Very beautiful! You must have never eaten candied haws. Let me tell you a little secret: Candied haws on a stick is delicious, fragrant, sweet, sour, and super delicious. When you come, I will definitely treat you to delicious candied haws!

Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait look forward to reunion and the reunification of the motherland. This is my dream, and it is also the dream shared by all Chinese people. I believe that this beautiful dream will come true as soon as possible. Children in Taiwan, let us build a spiritual bridge and work together to create a better tomorrow. Taiwan will surely return to the embrace of the motherland soon.

Until then, let us travel the Great Wall hand in hand, watch the Sun Moon Lake hand in hand... and create a better tomorrow together!

Sincerely yours

Salutes

Wish you the early reunification of both sides of the Taiwan Strait!

Our friendship will last forever!

Miss your mainland friends
