Description of Attractions Bitahai is located in Pudacuo National Forest Park, Shangri-La, Yunnan, with an altitude of about 3,600 meters. It is the highest lake in Yunnan Province. Bitahai has beautiful scenery. Oaks as dense as felt grow by the lake, and there are a lot of azaleas among the trees. From May to June every year, when azaleas are in full bloom, it is the most beautiful season here. The azaleas all over the lake are particularly magnificent, and the photos taken at this time are also very nice. The petals of azaleas were blown to the lake by the wind. After being swallowed, the fish in the lake floated on the water like a drunk, because the azaleas contained slight poison, and at this time, it also formed the wonders of Bitahai: azaleas drunk fish.

The scenic spot features Bita Sea and is surrounded by green hills. Seen from a distance, Bitahai is like an emerald embedded in the mountains. The lake is clear and bright, and the mountains and rivers are reflected in the water. Under the sunshine, lakes and mountains are beautiful. Looking out from the Rhododendron Sea, we can see a vast grassland, and flocks of cattle and sheep are wandering in the grass dotted with flowers. Shan Ye is full of breath, adding vitality to the mountain scenery. The scenic spot is well protected, there is no pollution, and the fish resources here are also well preserved. There is a unique "Bita heavy-lipped fish" here, which is a very rare species left over from the fourth ice age and has a history of 2.5 million years.
