Due to the renovation of fire-fighting equipment and facilities, the palace, which was closed for nearly two months, reopened on March 19, 2008! Friends can't wait!
Get off at Beihai North Station of the subway and go to Beihai, and you will arrive at Gongwangfu. This is by far the largest quadrangle in China and the largest palace in Qing Dynasty. Its successive owners were either ministers or princes. It is the largest mansion under Plutocratic family, the imperial city, and has witnessed the history of half the Qing Dynasty. It is known as the "Prince Gong's Mansion of half history of qing dynasty".
Speaking of Prince Gong's Mansion, the history books say that "the houses around the Crescent River are like dragons and dragons, and the western hills look like tigers from afar", and the feng shui is excellent and enviable.
Prince Gong's Palace is located on the west bank of Shichahai Qianhai, surrounded by "dragon water" (flowing water on all sides). During the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, it was a large-scale temple, with flourishing incense and numerous tourists. The emperor came here to worship Buddha.
Speaking of the owner of the palace, he must be the most famous one. From becoming a royal bodyguard at the age of 25, to becoming a right assistant minister of the Ministry of Finance and a minister of military aircraft at the age of 26, and in the following years, it quickly grew into a court record of "one person below, ten thousand people above", which can be described as "rocket promotion". Even if you look at thousands of years of history, no one can beat you. This magnificent house comparable to the "Little Forbidden City" has also become a witness to the prosperity of _ Rongchong.
After his death, Emperor Jiaqing left this mansion to his younger brother, Wang Yong, the king of Qing County. It is said that he is the one who loves this mansion the most among the owners of past dynasties. During the Xianfeng period, he became Prince Gong's residence.
In the 20th year of Guangxu (1894), Wang Yi, the old palace, died of illness and his grandson Puyi succeeded to the throne. This "last prince" was also the person who later "sold" Gong. By the time the master of Gongwangfu arrived at Puwei, the Qing Dynasty had declined. In order to make a living, Pu Wei has been living by selling his family property. After the Revolution of 1911 (19 1 1), Puyi sold almost all the movable property of the palace in order to restore the Qing court.
Zhongshan Chamber of Commerce brought some fine products to London and new york for special auctions. It is said that the auction lasted for four days and four nights, and the scene was very hot and grand.
192 1 year, Puyi mortgaged Gongwangfu's house to Beijing Catholic Church Xishiku Church and sold it for 80,000 silver dollars. 1932, due to the inability to redeem the palace, Fu Jen Catholic University, established by the Roman church, paid off its debts with 108 gold bars, bought public property rights and owned them by Fu Jen Catholic University.
The past has gone to blowing in the wind, and the former owner has disappeared. Today's Gongwangfu has become a famous cultural tourist attraction. Wandering among the pavilions in Wang Fu, it's really "getting drunk" to imagine the affair here in those days.

10. Dulefeng
Just opposite the main entrance of the garden, it is a solitary ornamental stone in North Taihu Lake, about 5 meters high. It can decorate the garden and prevent the beauty in the garden from being seen. Landscape experts believe that it can play the role of screen wall and screen at the same time. The stone's name "Dulefeng" may have borrowed the meaning of Sima Guang's Lonely Paradise. Looking up, I saw the word "Lefeng", while the word "Du" was hidden in the top of the stone. This method is unforgettable. "Dule Peak" has formed a kind of natural beauty due to the weathering of years, like a soft water vortex, like a light cloud, simple and elegant, full of poetry.

The last building on Huayuan Middle Road. Because it is shaped like a bat spreading its wings and flying, it is named "Bat Hall" for blessing. Because this building forms a bat-shaped plane, some people say that "this hall has sunshine from morning till night" and is known as "the only ancient building in Beijing". It is said that Prince Gong Yi often plans military affairs here with the ministers of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Prime Minister. Pu Ru, a famous calligrapher and grandson of Prince Gong, once lived in the Bat Hall and painted.

There are only two stone steps at the bottom of the climbing gallery on both sides of the mountain, and then the slope is flat without steps. There is a winding path from east to west leading to the false peak, and there is a water tank with a hole at the top of the winding path. The servant put water into the jar, and when it is hot and humid in summer and autumn, green moss grows between the stone walls. Stone yellow coating is green, yellow and green, so green that it is watertight, hence the name "Didi Cui Yan". There are three groups of stacked stones in the pool, meaning Penglai, abbot and Yingzhou.

There is a green slate in the center of the cave, engraved with the word "Fu" of Emperor Kangxi. Political and economic exchanges with the Ming Dynasty have to go through Shanhaiguan. After years of tug-of-war with the Ming army under Shanhaiguan, it was the Ming Dynasty that led Wu Sangui to enter Shanhaiguan and win the world. The owner of the garden stood on the wall of Guan Yu and looked north, which meant that he looked far away and missed his motherland. Some landscape experts believe that it is a landscape art of "moving the sky and shrinking into the arms".

The spacious avenue between HouGai Lou and the south slope of the garden was once the place where the owner of the mansion competed in archery. At the same time, it plays a role in separating and connecting the mansion and the garden.
