Information about the traveler tree

Traveler tree is a tourist banana, a unique species in Madagascar, also known as "water tree". The traveler lost his way in the jungle, so he can cut off his own stem to get fresh water to drink, which is the savior of the traveler.

Part of the stem of the tourist banana expands to form a container shape. It is very dry because it is located in the tropical desert of Africa. Tourist bananas have become natural drinking stations.

Where is the water of tourist bananas hidden? Its moisture is stored at the base of the thick petiole. When the traveler is thirsty, just cut a small mouth on its petiole, just like turning on the tap, fresh and cool water will flow out immediately, and then the traveler can enjoy it. This "faucet" doesn't need you to turn it off, it will automatically "screw it on". After one day, the cut mouth will heal, and after one day, it will provide drinking water for travelers again.

Tourist bananas are "burly", about 20 meters high and 50 centimeters thick. Its leaves are thick and grow up, generally reaching 3~4 meters. This kind of leaf looks strange. Are concentrated at the top of the thick stems, vertically arranged in two columns, paved into a plane, like a giant folding fan rising from the ground, and like the trend of proud as a peacock, it looks very beautiful from a distance. Although the tourist banana is tall, it is not a tree, but a large herb.

The hometown of tourist bananas is on Madagascar Island in Africa. Madagascar people regard sightseeing bananas as the "tree" of their country. Now, this unique ornamental plant also appears in botanical gardens in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and other big cities.
