What tourist attractions are there in Huangshan? What is there to do in Huangshan?

It’s almost moldy if you stay at home every day. It's time to travel. Friends with good physical strength can climb mountains, such as Huangshan. What should I pay attention to when climbing mountains? Without further ado, let’s read the guide together.

I can’t remember how many times I have been to Huangshan over the years. This time, I chose to come to Huangshan again, hoping to find a new feeling of travel. As the saying goes, “Reviewing the past makes you learn the new”, and the same goes for reading and traveling. I also hope that I can piece together the previous Sendisi and reorganize a more valuable guide to Huangshan to help more friends who like Huangshan and want to come to Huangshan.

Of course, I also hope that this encounter with Huangshan again can bring some good luck to my life like the flying rocks from Huangshan!

Laishi Zaihong Village in Yixian County, Huangshan City was built in the Shaoxi period of Nanning (1131 AD) and has a history of more than 800 years. On November 30, 2000, Hongcun was included in the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO. There are more than 140 well-preserved Ming and Qing folk houses in the town. It is known as the "Village in Paintings" and attracts many photography enthusiasts and painting enthusiasts all year round. Huangshan City is the most famous scenic spot besides Huangshan Scenic Area. This time I plan to come here to experience the artistic conception of "I have never dreamed of Huizhou in my life" and bring some of my favorite photos with me.

Arrived at Huangshan Tangkou one night early. After shopping in the supermarket, I fell asleep early. I got up at five o'clock the next morning in order to catch the first bus at the scenic area transfer center at six o'clock. There are many breakfast stalls within a ten-minute walk to the station. After eating, grab some fresh steamed buns and go to the station to buy tickets.

There are many black cars on the road soliciting business. Because you have to fight enough people, it is not recommended to take them, and the price is not much cheaper. More importantly, official cars are more secure. The fare to Ciguang Pavilion at the front gate and Yungu Temple at the back gate is 19 yuan, and the buses all depart from Huoshui, so there is basically no need to wait on weekdays.

When you arrive at Yungu Temple, you can choose cable car or hiking. The cable car costs 80 yuan one way. As a young man who loves sports and is a typical Virgo, taking the cable car didn’t feel like a conquest and was not perfect enough, so I had to hike up the mountain. The station where the cable car reaches is located in Baieling, which takes about 3 hours of walking. The scenery along the way is relatively average, and the few highlights are not stunning enough. More than the scenery, the people carrying mountains on the road attracted me to press the shutter. Here, be careful not to touch the miner's cargo curiously or accidentally, because a small touch will change the center of gravity of the cargo, which is quite dangerous for them and you.

When we arrived at Baie Ridge, we had to report to the pre-booked Baie Villa. You chose to stay here for a reason. Because it is located at a fork in the road, it is not too far to go to Beihai or directly to Guangmingding. And it’s almost lunch time when we get here, so we can take a break, put down our extra luggage, eat, wash up, and charge our mobile phones. This time I took a shower here, changed my sweaty T-shirt, ate steamed buns and braised pork, took a nap, got up around 14:00, and went out to play.

So is Baie Villa the most advantageous hotel on the mountain? But compared with Baiyun, Beihai, and Lion Forest, its popularity is not very high, nor is it very good. As for whether there are any advantages, it depends on your own route planning.

I live in a bedroom for ten people. Online booking price is 130. Sounds like a good deal? But when you see a lot of people sleeping on makeshift beds in the corridors and halls, you feel like there is hot water in the room for a shower. What a blessing it is to charge your phone! There are limited beds on the mountain, so we have to get up early to watch the sunrise anyway. It is really stable and happy to have a warm bed, not to mention free wifi. In addition, the average price of a standard room is 700 on weekdays and 1,000 on weekends and holidays. No matter which room you stay in, be sure to book it in advance!

Ten people in the world don’t even have a door lock. Pulling back the quilt proves that the bed is occupied! The hotel does not provide storage services, so you must take your valuables with you. The service attitude of the staff is also very average and they are indifferent. Maybe it’s depressing to be in the mountains all year round, having to face a large number of tourists every day! I can understand this attitude, but I don't agree with it.

After resting for a while, we set off towards the North Sea. At this time, the number of tour groups also increased significantly. When you arrive at Black Tiger Pine, there will be a fork in the road you can choose from. One is to go to Monkey Viewing the Sea, and the other is to go to Shi Xinfeng. Shifeng is known as "If you don't go to Shifeng, you won't see Mount Huangshan pine". Usually tour groups will organize it, but I didn’t go there this time. Instead, we went directly to Monkey Viewing the Sea, hoping to have some good luck and see the sea of ??clouds. On the way, you can pass by Mengbi Shenghua, Beihai Hotel and other places.

Beihai Hotel Houguanhai is located between Qingliang Terrace and Lion Peak. These three places are of the same origin and are good places to watch the sunrise. Friends staying at Beihai Hotel and Shilin Hotel can come in the morning. There is also a three-way intersection at the north gate of Huangshan Mountain. Lion Peak was closed that day, and the remaining two viewing spots did not achieve their excellent viewing effects, and the fog was relatively heavy.

After watching the sea and taking photos, the monkey rested here for a long time, ate some chocolate to replenish its strength, and then headed towards the row. Walk towards Yunge. The exhibition hall itself is not much to see. It’s a popular spot for concentric locks and a great place to watch the sunset. However, it is also fog. I don’t even know where the sun is, let alone the setting sun.

Here, you can also go to the West Sea Grand Canyon. The West Sea is also a very popular place in Huangshan in recent years. Because last time I hiked through the Xihai Grand Canyon from the west gate here, I didn’t plan to go there this time. If I want to play, I have to book at least half a day here. Next, I walked towards Flingshot, then to Guangmingding, and then back to White Goose Villa. Laish believes that people born in the 1980s and above will be familiar with it. The scene in the title of the 1987 version of "Dream of Red Mansions" is impressive. Viewed from different angles, the shapes of flying stones are different, and even make people feel that they are not stones. Personally, I think it may be the most common one if you look carefully.

Flying Stones

——The road from Laishi to Guangmingding, the second highest peak in Huangshan Mountain, is generally uphill and tiring. Apart from the flying rocks, there is nothing special to see. While resting on the road, I discovered some beautiful little details, such as squirrels stealing food, strange tree vines, etc.

701 Launch Tower

The entire climbing route from Guangding to here was completed on the first day. I wanted to try my luck and look at the stars at night, but I gave up after looking at the weather during the day. I'd better recharge my batteries and try my luck at sunrise! The sunrise in June is 05:04, so I got up at 4am the next morning. Although there is no sunshine outside, the fog can still be felt. If you're lucky, you can walk 20 minutes in the cool breeze to the top of Guangming Mountain and find a perfect spot to watch the sunrise.

As a result, it was frozen for another 20 minutes. When the time came, there was still no sunrise. Occasionally, a ray of sunshine will make the audience gasp. Here is a brief introduction to Guangmingding! It has nothing to do with Zhang Wuji in the distance in "The Legend of Heaven and Dragon Sword". It is named after its wide openness and long sunshine hours. It is the most popular place to watch the sunrise and sunset in Huangshan. It is also one of the three main peaks of Huangshan - Huangshan Meteorological Observatory, with an altitude of 1860 meters. You can

I didn’t get to watch the sunrise, so I went to the front of the mountain. The plan is to arrive at the foot of the mountain at noon, and then take the 13:30 bus to Hongcun. On the way, we passed Aoyu Peak (also a good place to watch the sunrise), Aoyu Cave, Baibu Ladder (an attraction in Liu Xiaoqing's movie "Little Flower"), etc., until we reached the Yingke Pine.

After Hongcun arrives at Tangkou Town from Huangshan, take the minibus to Hongcun at 13:30. The fare is 20 and the time is about 1 hour. The latest bus is at 16:30.

When we arrived in Hongcun, we started playing non-stop. I think opening an inn to catch up on some sleep is the right way to go. At night, the tour group disappears, and then walking into the village is the right way to start! I booked the hotel Hong Building, which is located 50 meters behind the entrance of the scenic spot. It is one of the larger B&Bs in Hongcun. Tickets for Hongcun are 104 yuan, and you can get a 10% discount by calling the boss. Of course, you can also book tickets for 90 yuan on all OTA websites, and the tickets are valid for three days.

Hong Mansion There are 9 Hong Mansion All types of rooms are decorated in antique styles, and even the windows are old-fashioned glass windows that need to be fastened with latches. The sound insulation effect is not bad. Without saying anything, I took a hot bath, charged my phone, and fell asleep on the soft big bed.

It was already late when I woke up, and my stomach began to protest, so I went out to look for food. First, I spent some time with the tour guide, listened to the explanations, got a general understanding of the village, and found the target and route for a serious tour tomorrow morning. Then I found a snack bar in a small alley, thinking I finally understood the principle of "Bacchus is not afraid of deep alleys". However, the cruel reality is that I ordered 20 portions of Huizhou fried rice. The taste and appearance are really not that good, so I won’t take a picture! What’s even more annoying is that Huizhou fried rice in the commercial street only costs 15 yuan. There are also large and small inns in the village, most of which are smaller and cheaper than Hong Gongguan. You can live there for about 100 yuan.

We set out at 5 a.m. the next day. I quickly washed up and went out. It’s strange that I can naturally wake up very early every time I travel, but at home I am lazy and rejected. Ask me why I got up so early? Of course, it is necessary to take a photo before the large number of tourists arrive. Maybe you can encounter morning fog or something and make a lot of money! It turned out that this was also the highlight of my time in Hongcun, getting a set of photos that I wanted.

This casual morning in Yuenuma also made me deeply appreciate the artistic conception of Tang Xianzu "I have never dreamed of Huizhou in my life". Then I happily went back to have breakfast. For the next visit, I first ordered a mobile tour guide service online. It only costs 10 yuan to have your own private tour guide. Please feel free to refer to the explanation. Looking down from Hongcun, the entire village is a cow-shaped structure. Nanhu is a cow's tripe, Moon Bay is a cow's stomach, the more than 1,200-meter-long water channel that goes around every household is a cow's blood vessel, the two big trees at the entrance of the village are horns, and behind them are thunderbolts. Gangshan Highlands is definitely a geomantic treasure. The small and medium-sized attractions in the village are mainly ancient houses such as Jingde Hall and Chengzhi Hall, which are well preserved and of great tourist value.

After Tunxi ends in Hongcun, you can buy a ticket to Tunxi at the entrance of the scenic spot and prepare to transfer home in the city. The ticket is 25 and we leave on the hour. Passing through Xidi, Yunqi and other places.

Having half a day left in Tunxi is reserved for the most famous Tunxi Old Street and Liyang in Lane in the city. This is not the first time I have been to these two places, and the routes and scenes are very familiar.

Tunxi Old Street is a time-honored attraction, where you can eat authentic Anhui cuisine and buy various specialties. The most famous Anhui cuisine is hairy tofu and mandarin fish. Even though the whole body of hairy tofu is unhygienic. It is through artificial fermentation that a layer of white fluff grows on the surface of the tofu. Because the plant protein in tofu is fermented and converted into a variety of amino acids, it tastes very fresh after cooking and has a slight taste of fermented bean curd in the mouth. I chose Huizhou people from Laojie to settle down

In addition, in addition to selling some ink, paper, and inkstones, Laojie also sells Huangshan sesame cakes. I don't recommend buying from the street. The price of 15 yuan per bag is a bit too high. I walked out onto the street, and along the way, I spotted a small shop that was selling them right now. A bag cost 8 yuan, so I bought two bags. The taste is quite good. I regret buying less.

Then, after passing the Tunxi Ancient Bridge, you will arrive in Liyangli. The scenic spot is mainly composed of three blocks: the Binjiang Bar Leisure Block, the Special Food Block, and the Anhui Culture Experience Block. The scenic spot creatively combines Huizhou ancient dwellings with modern architecture to create a visual impact. This is a comprehensive neighborhood integrating dining, accommodation, and entertainment. It is also a place where locals often come to take a walk. The scenic spot also has the slogan "Visit Huangshan during the day and stay in Liyang at night". I personally think it's an excellent stopover, but many people also use it as a resting place the night before climbing, so I beg to differ. After all, in Huangshan Scenic Area, it is not advisable to get up early in the morning and take an hour-long red-eye bus to climb the mountain. And when you get up early, you usually carpool, so it’s inevitable that someone will be late, which will take up too much time.

Wenfeng Bridge Review

Practical Guide The practical guide for mountain climbing written here is for those who plan to spend 2 days or more on the mountain. There are many tour groups in Huangshan, but it is not recommended to participate. The trip will be tiring and rushed, but it only proves that you have been to Huangshan. Sunrise, sunset, Tiandu Peak and other essential parts of the mountain will miss you.

Although I go out with a backpack in most cases, I don’t like to copy other people’s strategies and then proceed cautiously. But depending on the situation, you still have to do your homework in Huangshan. Please pay attention to the caveats here and do not copy them based on your own judgment. We also welcome more friends to come and make corrections and improvements.

Preparation before departure

First of all, you must know that the weather in Huangshan is unpredictable, and weather forecast cannot accurately control the local shape. It rains a lot in Huangshan, so a raincoat is essential. We recommend better quality disposable raincoats, which are lightweight and do not take up space. You need to prepare a jacket or even a light outdoor fleece jacket or down jacket, because the temperature difference between morning and evening in mountainous areas is large, and it will be very cold when watching the starry sky or sunrise.

Pack an appropriate amount of food, and bring food and water according to the time you want to stay on the mountain. Although it is also sold on the mountain, the lowest 80 yuan set meal on the mountain is not even as good as the 8 yuan standard in a university cafeteria. I recommend buying two kilograms of braised pork and steamed buns at the foot of the mountain. Really awesome! Marao is also a good choice. Purified water costs 8 yuan, and sports drinks cost 20 yuan (if you don’t have enough water, you can bring one or two bottles of sports drinks sold in Banshan for 10 yuan). You will need approximately 4 to 6 bottles of water in two days. If you don't mind, you can also drink spring water from the mountains. Anyway, I drank a bottle this time.

Bring: sunscreen (in summer), hiking poles, gloves (both are sold on the roadside, if you are not particularly squeamish you can leave them alone), portable hair dryer (if it rains heavily, you may need to dry your shoes and socks . The rental fee on the mountain is 50 yuan/hour, and new socks are 50 yuan ($40). You can also prepare some band-aids and medicine for colds and diarrhea.

Finally, after everything is ready, I have to get my mind right. It takes luck to see the sea of ??clouds, sunrise, Buddha light and other wonders. The probability of them appearing is relatively low, so you won't see them this time. Last time we climbed a mountain in heavy rain, and the next day, there was a beautiful sea of ??clouds. Of course, different climates have different perspectives, so we have to learn to adapt to nature.

Transportation recommendations

Huangshan City (Tunxi District) has Huangshan Station, Huangshan North Station (high-speed rail station), bus terminal, and Tunxi Airport. It can be said that you can find suitable transportation here all over the country. In addition, friends not far away can also plan self-driving routes through map software.

The highway to Huangshan is in good condition and there are very few cars on weekdays.

I started from Hefei. Although there are high-speed trains and cheap flights, I still chose the long-distance bus. The advantage is that buses can go directly to H

When you leave Huangshan, you can take the bus at the Huangshan Scenic Area Bus Station (Tangkou Transfer Center) on the New National Line. Not only can you go to the city's main attractions and passenger terminals such as downtown, Xidi, Hongcun, and the airport, but you can also take long-distance buses to Huainan, Hefei, Nanjing and other places. In some remote places, you can only transfer at the train station, high-speed rail station or airport in Tunxi District.

The bus station in Hongcun also has buses to the city and other bus stations. It runs to Tunxi city on the hour and leaves every hour.

Accommodation recommendations

Climbing Huangshan, it is recommended to stay in Tangkou Town the night before. I think there is no better place than here, which is why Tangkou thrives. Get off the expressway in the direction of Hefei and arrive at the town. With the scenic transfer center as the core, there are hotels, supermarkets and other shops that provide services and entertainment for tourists in the surrounding area, and there is even a KFC! The items mentioned in the above travel preparations can be purchased in supermarkets here, and they are all very cheap.

The hotel basically integrates the restaurant and guest rooms. Because there are many tourists in the reception team, the hotel’s restaurant area and reception capacity are quite large, but there is no need to be intimidated by such a big battle. If you arrive, you don’t have to worry about the phenomenon of “XX prawns”. On the contrary, because competition is fierce here, in order to drum up business, special dishes that cost a few dollars will be posted in a prominent place outside the restaurant. Room prices range from tens of yuan to more than a hundred yuan, the most common. It's really not easy to find a high-end place to live here, but it's certainly not that bad. I stayed at the Mountain Inn, which is located just off the main road in town. It is relatively quiet. The disadvantage is that it is far away from the transfer center, about 3 kilometers. Hotels are generally similar, can be booked on all OTA platforms, and everyone can stay in the same place.

Because the environment in Huangshan is relatively humid, it is quite commendable to have a hair dryer in the room to dry hair and clothes. Because of this environment, don’t panic if you occasionally see bugs like Xiao Qiang’s. Go out there and be happy with where you are.
