Too frequent leadership changes have led to unclear urban positioning and too great climate change, which has caused the tourism industry to fail to develop, with only a short summer vacation and recuperation for several months. First of all, Qinhuangdao must be positioned as a coastal city, so we should do a good job in the theme of strengthening the coast, not just positioning it as tourism. However, Qinhuangdao has only existed and developed as a tourist city for many years, and nothing has been done under the theme of the coast, let alone developing the coastal economy. Looking at other coastal cities, they have made great progress driven by national policies, but Qinhuangdao has not seen much movement, just made some articles on the surface.

Qinhuangdao's positioning as a tourist city for many years has actually seriously hindered its development. The tourism industry in this city is not as evergreen as the tourism industry in the south, and winter is a low season at most, and it is not like some famous buildings can be visited all the year round, such as the Forbidden City, such as Pingyao Ancient City. Of course, there are countless examples. Only summer is a tourist peak season in Qinhuangdao in a year. In fact, to be exact, only after July 1th to August 2th is the real tourist peak season, which lasts only 4 to 5 days.

It is this tourism feature that makes Qinhuangdao's tourism industry deformed. It is even said that some prices in Qinhuangdao are deformed, especially in the catering industry. As we all know, the biggest feature of seasonal tourism is to earn money for the next year in the peak season. Qinhuangdao's one-year plan lies in this summer, just as the snowy countryside in the northeast can only count on winter. Therefore, the phenomenon of cheating in tourist areas is endless. This is not my invention. You can experience it yourself. Of course, it has improved due to the strengthening of government governance, but it still exists. You can visit scenic spots such as Jiuzhaigou for many years, such as Huangshan, and scenic spots such as Shanxi and Shaanxi are relatively rare. Why? The water is always flowing, and the price is usually higher, but it is not outrageous. The local people also pay attention to this image. Otherwise, no one will come, and their lives will be hard. For example, the events in Fenghuang ancient city in Hunan a few years ago were very bad and the tourism industry was greatly affected. Therefore, the tourism image of Qinhuangdao is greatly reduced, and tourists choose by their legs. Now there are many open seaside, Yantai, Qingdao, Dalian, and even Huludao, which is close to Qinhuangdao, have directly developed Dongdai River, so the advantages of summer resorts in the past have been very small. This also directly affects the tourism revenue and economic development of Qinhuangdao.

In addition, due to too much emphasis on the tourism industry, excessive investment in the tourism industry for development will naturally affect the development and construction of other industries. In addition, people actually go to Qinhuangdao for the summer vacation, and they don't care too much about other scenic spots. To put it bluntly, I go to Qinhuangdao every year, which is near Shanghai. I basically don't go anywhere else, and I don't want to go. In the hot summer, it is originally to cool off. Is it meaningful to remove Shanhaiguan from some scenic spots? Objectively speaking, it is better to save some money to invest in more effective projects, promote the diversified development of cities and bring employment opportunities.

In addition, eating in Qinhuangdao restaurants is relatively expensive at ordinary times. Of course, there are many reasons, more of which are brought by the tourism industry. Many restaurants are reluctant to come down after being upgraded in the peak season, which gradually leads to an increase in food and beverage prices. In this way, the off-season is lighter, which is not conducive to the overall development of Qinhuangdao.

However, as we all know and understand, as an ancient summer resort, it also undertakes many tasks. In order not to pollute the environment, it has become a dilemma for Qinhuangdao not to over-develop its industry, but it can develop some unique coastal projects.

Of course, as a foreigner, I have no right to make irresponsible remarks. I just go there frequently and regard Qinhuangdao as my second hometown, so I am willing to say a few more words, in order to make Qinhuangdao develop better and make us foreigners feel better and more like our second home when we go there!

The future development plan is to build it into an international tourist city, which is somewhat unrealistic only because of climate restrictions. In the cold season when you can't go to sea, the tourist area is depressed and deserted.
