I am a senior in my junior year, studying in a geology school in Chengdu. The school is not bad, it is a double first-class university, and the major is not bad.

It belongs to the college entrance examination adjustment category. When I first came in, my heart was cold. I failed the civil engineering, accounting, and architecture majors I applied for. I like painting, but my family doesn't allow me to study art.

I studied the basic courses seriously in my freshman year. I was really not interested in the professional courses in my sophomore and junior years, but I studied them carefully and did not fail.

There is an internship during the summer vacation of my freshman year: An internship in Emeishan is considered a trip. After all, the mountains are good and the water is good, and the tasks are not many. Most girls should be able to accept it.

There is an internship in the first semester of junior year near the holiday: Majiaoba internship is a very remote place with few people and many factories, which leads to heavy dust and many mines. During the period, the living environment was average, but there was air conditioning, and the study tasks were heavy. In the later period, I often stayed up late to make reports and make drawings. It belongs to the type of climbing mountains and wading in rivers during the day and staying up late at night to work, which makes you physically and mentally exhausted.

Before my internship at Majiaoba, I had the opportunity to visit the future working environment. At that time, I took a long-distance bus to Chongqing, and the next day I went to observe the operations of the personnel. The conditions were difficult and I had to carry heavy objects up the mountain. The road I walked out on was all about men without seeing women.

There are experimental classes in the sophomore and junior years. They are not in the laboratory to operate high-end instruments. Undergraduate students are not allowed to touch them at all. Instead, you go to the computer room to write programs. Sometimes you have to stay for a whole day. Part of it is half a day and half a day. The girls in other majors have gone out to play. You are still writing programs. If you can’t finish it, go back to school and continue writing. You have to submit a report at the end of the semester. The teacher is not very good and you have to go in one by one to talk about the program. If If you meet a professional teacher and you are not careful, you will fail.

Most of the senior students in this major take postgraduate entrance examinations across majors or find jobs in different industries, because it is really not suitable for girls. It is not that the courses are too difficult, but that they often run outside and are not like sitting in an office every day. There is still gender discrimination when looking for a job. Currently, more girls in our majors are considering taking the postgraduate entrance examination. They are basically cross-majors, including finance, mathematics, law... Those who are not very cross-disciplinary are more engaged in theory.

Unless you go to a very good school, like China University of Science and Technology, it is really difficult to find a job.
