The achievement of the development zone in the past ten years is that it has become a new tourist area and high-tech industrial base in Wuhan, an important growth point of Jiangxia's economic development, and is at the forefront of the county-level development zones in the province. With the determination of the development strategy of building Wuhan metropolitan area in Hubei Province, it is urgent to strengthen the construction and development of Wuhan and its surrounding areas. Wuhan will enter the period of rapid growth of urbanization and industrialization, and some functions and population of the city will gradually shift from the central area to the peripheral suburbs, making the simple extension of the city inevitable, especially the peripheral area of the central city will be the hot spot of Wuhan's development. On the one hand, it will assume the function of absorbing the industry in the main urban area, on the other hand, it will become the economic growth point of the construction and development of remote urban areas. Jiangxia Economic Development Zone is one of them. The development zone is adjacent to the central city of Wuhan, between the central ring road and the outer ring road of the city. The connecting line and radiation between the ring lines run through the development zone, and the traffic location advantage is remarkable. The development zone connects East Lake Development Zone in the north and Jiangxia Zhifang Street in the south, which is an important area for the development zone to contact and supplement the paper mill. Industrial layout of the development zone in the next decade: We will continue to rely on the radiation of the central city of Wuhan and the East Lake New Technology Development Zone, seize the opportunity of the construction of Wuhan Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Industrial Park, Wuhan Optics Valley and modern Chinese medicine science and technology industry (Hubei) base, focus on developing manufacturing bases focusing on biomedicine, new materials and optoelectronics, and actively cultivate our own comprehensive industrial clusters; Combined with the location, transportation, intelligence and policy advantages of the Development Zone and the economic development of Jiangxia District, we will develop characteristic tourism, culture and education and real estate development at the same time, and strive to build a new urban area with complete facilities and comprehensive development, which is mainly based on biomedicine and manufacturing.

According to the overall urban planning, the urbanization level of Jiangxia Economic Development Zone will reach about 90% in the future 10, and the future construction land standard will be slightly higher than that of the central city. It is predicted that the development zone can accommodate 200,000 people, and the scale of construction land is 2 176.53 hectares (excluding water), far exceeding the currently planned 12.93 square kilometers, which will create an annual social output value of 65,438. The overall spatial pattern of "one core, two hearts, three axes and five groups" will be formed in the functional organization of the development zone. "One core", that is, the central core area formed by combining the traffic trunk line and the layout of the inner lake in the development zone, undertakes the function of a comprehensive public center in the development zone and is a regional public center integrating business services and leisure. "Erxin" refers to the administrative center of the Northern Development Zone and the life in south Sex Service Center, which are located at the traffic trunk nodes. "Three axes", that is, relying on Jiangxia Avenue, sunshine avenue and Xiangyang Street, form three development axes. The administrative center, business service center, industrial group and residential group are arranged along April Avenue of the Yangtze River, which constitutes the main axis of functional development of the development zone. Sunshine avenue bears an important traffic link connecting the central city and Zhifang Street, forming an axis of traffic development. Relying on Xiangyang Street and high-pressure corridor, protective green belts, ecological gardens and parks will be laid out to form the green axis of ecological landscape. According to the existing construction foundation and considering the rationality of traffic organization and functional layout, the "five groups" are arranged to form five groups, namely, the biomedical industry group in the north and south-central, the optoelectronic and manufacturing development group in the south, the comprehensive scientific and educational research and development group in the west and the residential group in the middle. Give full play to the advantages of regional resources, strengthen the integration and perfection of regional functions, determine a reasonable construction scale, adhere to the concept of sustainable development of ecological environment, and build a waterfront new city in southern Wuhan with optimized industrial structure, reasonable functional layout and beautiful ecological environment.
