The second reason is that Laojun Mountain is the world’s most sacred mountain and is considered a very sacred place in China. In 1938, the Japanese army bombarded Laojun Terrace and fired 13 shells in a row, but none of them exploded. The Japanese general Umekawa Tarang went up to take a look and found that it was "Tai Shang Lao Jun". He was shocked. Later, everyone was allowed to pay homage to Lao Jun, and damage to Lao Jun's platform was strictly prohibited.

At present, Laojun Mountain is the only tourist attraction that is not open to foreigners, but there are other scenic spots that also prohibit foreigners from entering, such as Dadu River Jinkou Grand Canyon in Sichuan, Shennongjia in Hubei, and Seda Wuming College in Sichuan , Nanyigou in Tibet, Xisha Islands in Hainan, etc., most of which involve state secrets.
