Matters needing attention and detailed strategies of American face-to-face interview
American visa, if it is a business visa with a company invitation letter, I think this is basically no problem; If it is a tourist visa, please prepare sufficient reasons for returning to China and sufficient funds.
I read a lot of raiders, saying that singles and older white books get American visas. I want to say that although all of them are single and old, some of them are unemployed, but every month the bank has a deposit of 7W, 150W; Some English speakers actually have 20 Thai visas;
Some people say that they are single, but in fact, this person is issuing visas with many small partners. So my personal feeling is, don't believe that being single in old age is instinct, and there is a reason to live!
About the Filling of DS 160 Form
Fill in DS 160, not much to say. Many of Aunt Zhang's value friends have released very detailed strategies. I screened a more comprehensive one (the one below) and cut it out. Personally, I don't want to make DS 160. Why? Because I broke my heart on the DS 160 form.
But again, fill it out, because VO (visa officer) really asks repeatedly according to the content filled in, and repeatedly verifies whether it is telling the truth.
Fill in the proposal of DS 160. I really suggest to find a place with a good network to fill in. Another way is to get up at 7 am to fill it out. Make sure you don't get stuck, don't get disconnected, and don't time out the session.
Go out. Please find a reliable agent, at least you're not worried.
One thing, I think it is necessary to say. I read many strategies before applying, from poor travel, hornet's nest to aunt Zhang. It has always been emphasized that when filling in DS 160, remember to save the file and upload it when filling in next time (UPLOADAN
Application) go in.
Actually, it can't be completely wrong. If you use a saved document to restore the application, you must fill it out from scratch. Although a lot of information (name, address, etc. ) It has been saved and need not be filled in, but similar details, such as the itinerary in the United States and contacts in the United States, need to be filled in again.
In fact, when you fill out the form, you might as well copy the answer into a word file. If you encounter disconnection or something, you can copy and paste it directly. Economy is very important. Remember, ApplicationID:AA starts with +8 digits.
When you continue to fill in the form, you can directly click RetieveanApplication, which will jump directly to the side you filled in before. As for the appointment part, then you can make an appointment for an interview.
Precautions for website registration:
Pay attention to the first name and surname, and don't accidentally write it backwards, because DS 160 is filled with the surname and givenname.
Then when I signed the visa face to face, I found that I had written it backwards with others. At that time, I was determined to refuse the visa and squander the visa fee 1 120. When I was waiting in line to apply for face-to-face visa, I saw a big red switch symbol on the label paper of the QR code on the back of my passport.
Payment situation
You can make an appointment for an interview on Wednesday as soon as you pay the fee on Monday.
If you want to pay online, you need to register an account with CITIC No.1.. I don't have a CITIC bank card. As a result, I was asked to upload my ID card when I bound the bank card.
First of all, I am not a user of CITIC, but I have to upload my ID card and bind my bank card. I think it's too much trouble, so I'm going to pay at the counter.
Then go to the bank and say that you have to pay the visa fee, or you have to fill out the form and add a copy of your ID card to pay the fee.
So I spent more than 5 yuan on the ATM and paid the visa fee.
data preparation
I have prepared a large file bag, and the materials are packaged with classified materials:
1, passport +DS 160+ reservation confirmation.
2. Work certificate (in Chinese and English), business license, work permit, business card and photos of the company's engineering projects.
3. Hukou book, full-page Hukou book, photos of family members, photos of their own travel, photos of their own cats (sons).
4. Proof of assets: copy of real estate license (placed on the conspicuous cover page), bank running water, and asset certificate issued by the bank.
A large amount of running water in banks has shifted from wealth management to current demand. Online said that this was not recommended, so I spent 20 yuan to open an asset certificate in the bank, so I don't need to transfer to a wealth management fund product. (But actually VO didn't watch it)
5. Travel itinerary and a copy of Xiao's partner's passport and US visa.
In fact, in the end, the visa officer (VO) only looked at my employment certificate and ID card.
Let me talk about my situation first. I am a married woman, unmarried, older, with a house (but only a copy of the real estate license is mortgaged in the bank), with a stable job and a low salary (7,000 yuan, a small partner wrote a monthly salary 15K without reading anything). My colleague is a female friend, who has signed an American visa, and her passport has a Schengen visa and a Japanese visa. Of course, I still have more confidence in myself. It is said that the possibility of refusing to sign an account born in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will be reduced.
Considering that I am not a sensitive major or a sensitive profession, I have not prepared my resume. Because I read the online resume template, which provides very academic details. . . Considering I'm a scum. . So ... . But if you are not sure about yourself, I suggest you be prepared.
Interview process
Then I made an appointment for an interview on Thursday afternoon 13: 15.
put on
I consulted a small partner who had a business visa and said that I wanted to wear business, white shirt and black pants. I was advised not to bring my belt, and it would be troublesome to take it off after the security check. I consulted my little friend (a tourist) who looked after my bag and saw that I was dressed a little formally. I have read a lot of raiders, both formal and informal.
I wanted to wear a sportswear or something, but I forgot to think about it. After all, I am a tourist, but I am a visa officer. Coupled with my job position and age, I think it is enough to wear decent clothes, so I wore a skirt and painted a light makeup, and I didn't bring my bracelet. I feel that I can save trouble and adjust.
Of course, most of the candidates didn't dress very formally that day, just be generous and decent. It is highly recommended that the value friend who pays the visa alone ask his friend to look after things when paying the visa. Because:
Please note that the following items are not allowed to be brought into the consulate:
Battery-powered devices or electronic devices, such as mobile phones, USB flash drives, electronic watches, pagers, cameras, audio/video tapes, CDs, MP3 players, floppy disks and notebooks.
Travel bags, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, wallets, cloth bags and zippered folders for computers or portable music players.
Only small handbags, ladies' bags or plastic bags with relevant application documents are allowed.
Including bottled water, food, sealed envelopes or packaged cigarettes, cigars, matchboxes, lighters, scissors, knives or nail clippers, any kind of weapons or explosives, and other items prohibited by security personnel.
Basically, people who go to the consulate will bring a folder, and it will be OK to see a lady holding a white reusable shopping bag.
I think the Guangzhou Consulate is more humanized, because many people bring electronic products such as cell phones and headphones to let them go out for help and then come back to queue up.
I feel that the whole queue has been checked several times.
I always repeat it before the interview. Take out DS 160 confirmation form and reservation form, check with passport, go through security check, and then stick QR code on the back of passport.
Yes, that's right. The name of my appointment letter is written backwards. I started to panic from here, so all kinds of forms for passers-by are really not written backwards. Then I cried silently, thinking that the visa fee might be ruined, but since I came, I should do whatever I want.
The first thing to do after entering the consulate is to hand in the information (in fact, it is to brush the bar code attached to the back of the passport), then press the fingerprint, and finally come to the interview. Then the specific team to go to is arranged by the staff, and I seem to have no choice. The staff arranged a (super beautiful) white women's team for me to line up, and various online raiders said that the same sex was easily rejected. I saw a young black lady interviewing, and a young lady successfully got the yellow stripe. But I have observed that most of them can still get the yellow stripes, so I am confident to face them.
Interview process
The grandmother in front of me was refused a visa. The visa officer didn't understand the dialect, so I found a Chinese sister to help me translate, but her sister spoke Cantonese. I don't know where the Cantonese dialect is, and I don't understand it, but my grandmother can understand Cantonese, but my sister doesn't seem to understand what her grandmother said. Maybe grandma said she would go to America to see her son. Finally, the visa officer handed her a white note. I guess grandma was very happy and left. . . . (a little sad)
It's my turn, I'm so nervous!
Me: Hello!
Interviewer: CanuspeakEnglish?
Me: Yes, of course!
(Heart: I thought you didn't have to speak Chinese at first! It's over, but I can't sayno. After all, I am an English major.
Next, basically in English:
Interviewer: What are you doing in America?
Me: Traveling.
Interviewer: With whom?
Me: With my friend, she already has an American visa. I have a copy of her passport and visa. Do you need to see it?
Interviewer: (shaking his head) Are you in the same group?
Me: We travel freely.
Then I was repeatedly asked in this place whether to travel with a group or alone, and who to go with.
Interviewer: What education have you received? (asked in Chinese)
Me: Undergraduate (Chinese)
Interviewer: How many years have you worked? What do you do?
Interviewer: Please provide your work certificate and ID card.
Interviewer: What do you do? How many years have you worked? What does your company do?
VO also asked several times about working years and positions, and then she took my ID card and threw it on the table several times to see the reflection. Do you doubt that this is a false certificate? . . Later, my friend and I took care of my bag. He said it should be no problem to show her my business card and work permit at this time. . . I may be too nervous to remember. .
After reading the employment certificate twice, VO asked me what my company does. Fortunately, I printed a photo of the project made by the company in advance and gave it to VO. VO says cool, keep asking.
Interviewer: Oh, you are an English major. . So if you are not an English major, you will pass me by. )
Interviewer: Have you been to America before? (Check my visa record)
Interviewer: Have you applied for an American visa before?
Interviewer: Do you have any relatives in America?
Interviewer: Do you have your own house in Shenzhen? (I asked if I needed to see the real estate license, and VO shook his head. ) asked me twice.
Interviewer: How many days are you going to stay in America? (Travel 12 days, then Atlanta enters and new york leaves)
I'm going to see Jeremy. But VO didn't ask me, but if I did, I might add T. Yang, because I'm not sure if VO likes Asian players, you know)
Interviewer: Which cities are you going to? (Atlanta and new york)
VO Last question: Who is your product for? Who is the client?
Me: Our company is in charge of the domestic market.
Then probably VO started to knock on the keyboard for a long time, and then frowned. I think, alas, I may be refused a visa. After playing for about half a minute, I saw the visa officer holding my passport book, and then handed me a yellow paper to say welcome.
We ...
Maybe there are some things I don't remember. Anyway, I feel that all her questions are on the DS 160 form, because I think the whole process is really long, especially who to go with, whether to join the group or not, and the working years. VO asked me many times, probably interspersed with questions, asked a few questions and then came back to ask another question.
Although I am personally confident that I can pass this interview, I feel that I am not in danger after going through it. If you are not sure whether you can get a visa, you can ask the visa merchant of Taobao in advance. Basically, if they know your general situation, they can know whether the interview can pass or not.
If they think you are likely to pass, they will come to you in a few days and ask how you have considered it. I won't give any suggestions or opinions, because everyone's situation is different and the information filled in ds 160 is different.
Subsequently, I waited for 10 days, 10/0/24 October, and the website showed that 10/26 October was issued,13 October/0/Sunrise Consulate. 1received an email on the morning of October 2, 165438, saying that you can pick it up at China CITIC Bank yourself.
Of course, when I mentioned it last, I still provided a copy of my ID card and took photos. If I had known this, I might still choose EMS express. After all, I think we should protect this identity information.
Finally, when I got my passport, I found that I didn't find the problem of writing my name backwards, because the visa was still made according to the information filled in DS 160. If I haven't made an appointment for a face-to-face interview, I can actually feedback/email for revision.
