Kunshan is known as the first water town in China and the birthplace of Kun Opera. The Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs here are particularly famous.

Aozao noodles are one of the traditional pasta snacks in Kunshan City and one of the top ten noodles in China. The fried fish noodles in red oil and the braised duck noodles in white soup are the most famous.
