Overview of Changqi Village

1. Administrative Region

Changqi Village is one of the old revolutionary areas in our county. It is adjacent to Bailin and Nodou in Fuding City. The village has a land area of ??3348.9 acres, and has jurisdiction over 6 natural villages, including Changqi, Sanzhushu, Mianshan, Qingchatou, Wuyan and Bangang, and 8 villager groups, with 180 households and 802 people. After several years of relocation, the current population is basically concentrated in four natural villages: Changqi, Mianlianshan, Bangang, and Sanzhushu. After the construction of the tourist connection line from Chayang to Cuijiao, the four villages are connected to one line, and the transportation is extremely convenient.

2. Transportation

The tourist connection line from Chayang to Cuijiao has been completed and opened to traffic, which can directly lead to Bailin, Fuding, making it a one-day trip to Chayang Township and even the county's tourism resources It is connected with the tourist circle around Taimu Mountain to form a large-scale tourism pattern with shared resources; the connecting line between Changqi and Xikou is under construction.

3. Product economy

The income of the villagers mainly comes from migrant labor, tea, moso bamboo, winter bamboo shoots, grain, medicinal materials and other industries. It has been proven that there is granite in the village with abundant reserves. The village has 271 acres of cultivated land, 1,067 acres of tea area (60 acres of village-level collective tea gardens), and 2,217.5 acres of forestry area, of which 953 acres are moso bamboo.

4. Infrastructure construction

Basically realize the "five connections". Except for the Mian Mian Mountain where most of the villagers have been relocated to Sanzhushu Natural Village, there are not many others and no human drinking water project has been built. The other natural villages have fully realized the "five connections". The newly built village committee building has been moved in and used.

5. Biography

Wu Jincheng, (birth and death unknown), a native of this village, Jincheng is intelligent by nature, inherits his family's academic background, and diligently studies classics and history. And loves boxing sticks. In the late Qing Dynasty, society was in chaos, with years of harassment by soldiers and bandits, and people's livelihood uneasy. Jincheng was aware of this. He visited his teachers and friends for many years and studied and practiced diligently. He not only had outstanding literary talent, but also had amazing martial arts skills. In the twelfth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1873), he took the provincial examination and passed the martial arts examination. However, he did not want to become an official. He returned to his hometown to practice local bravery and played an important role in defending his hometown.

Wu Dengying, (birth and death unknown), was from this village. Dengying was eager to learn since he was a child and studied history books diligently. In the first year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, he was admitted to the Xiang students, and he immediately supplemented his talents. In the thirteenth year of Tongzhi, he was admitted to the Gong students. Later, he returned to the village to set up private schools and ethnic studies, and was successively employed as professors in Bailin, Cuijiao and other places in Fuding. All the students are outstanding and famous in the neighboring counties.

Wu Zhaojing, (birth and death unknown), a native of this village, was intelligent by nature. He was as famous as Wu Dengying and was also known as one of the "Two Prodigies" in Changqi. In the third year of Xuantong (1911), he passed the Gongsheng Examination and later started teaching.

Near Changqi Village are tourist attractions such as Jiulongjing Water Conservancy Scenic Area in Zhurong County, Fengqi Wu Family Mansion, Yongan Bridge in Xikou, Yuan Clan Ancestral Hall in Xikou, and Ningde East Lion Mountain. Jiangnan meatballs, Pengshan Cuiyang, Ningde meatballs, Fujian Pseudostellariae and other specialties.
