Xinjiang Kashgar tourism, Hongqi Lapu port?

Hongqilafu Mountain Pass is 0/45 km away from Kashgar County, with an altitude of about 5000 meters. It is the end point of the China-Pakistan Highway from Kashgar to Pakistan, and has the boundary pillar of China's national border.

Hongqilafu is the highest sea level port in the world. Due to the bad weather conditions, it is only open and closed during April 15 to 10/5, and closed at other times, so no matter tourists, relatives or businessmen can pass. The scenery near the mountain pass is very good, and there are a lot of tourists and businessmen here during the transition.

The length of the China-Pakistan highway from Kashgar to Hongqilafu is 4 15km. It is the only way for a trip to Pamirs (the Green Ridge mentioned in The Journey to the West is in this area), and it will pass through Oytak Forest, Lake Karakuli, Mustagaatta, Stone Town, Princess Castle and other scenic spots along the way, which is well worth visiting.

Affected by climatic conditions, the Hongqilafu Port is open seasonally, usually from May to 10 every year. Visitors must apply to Kashgar Public Security Bureau for border pass in advance, otherwise even Tashkurgan is not allowed to enter.
