Introduction of Taiqing Palace Scenic Spot in Laoshan Mountain

Laoshan Taiqing Palace, with a total area of 30,000 square meters, is located at the foot of Pantao Peak in Laoshan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It was built in the first year of Jianyuan in the Western Han Dynasty and has been built many times since then. It is now the Taoist ancestral hall in Laoshan, China.

Laoshan Taiqing Palace is divided into three courtyards, each with a mountain gate and a side door, with Sanguan Hall in the east, Sanqing Hall in the middle and Huangyu Hall in the west. On the east side of Sanguan Hall is a courtyard with two entrances, which was built by Hanlin Yin in Qing Dynasty. Now it is the Taiqing Palace Guest Hall, which is mainly composed of Zhongyi Hall, Chen Yuange, Yuan Junge, Zushi Temple, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Donghua Dijun Hall and Xiwangmu Hall.

Historical evolution:

1. In the first year of Jianyuan in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 140), Zhang Lianfu, founder of Laoshan Taoism, built Sanguan Temple here.

2. In the first year of the Stegosaurus in the Northern Song Dynasty (960), Taoist Liu Ruozhuo was named as a "real person in Gai Hua" and returned to Laoshan to build a Taoist temple. Later, he founded the Taiqing Palace in Laoshan.

3. In the sixth year of Jin Mingchang (1 195), Liu Chuxuan, one of the seven northern truths of Quanzhen Daoism, founded the Quanzhen Daoism School (Hidden Mountain School) in Laoshan Taiqing Palace, and all Taoists in Taiqing Palace were classified as Quanzhen Daoism School.

4. In the second year of tomorrow (1622), Minister Zhao Fuhui will rebuild the Taiqing Palace, and formally determine the layout of the three courtyards of Sanguan, Sanqing and Sanhuangdian.

5. 1989, the Sanqing Hall, Donghua Dijun Hall and Xiwangmu Hall of Laoshan Taiqing Palace were rebuilt, and 47 statues were rebuilt.
