Best itinerary: Wuxi-Suzhou-Zhouzhuang-Moganshan-Wuxi

Taihu Lake, located in the southern edge of the Yangtze River Delta, was called Zhenze and Juqu in ancient times, and also called Wuhu and Lize. It is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China, ranking third, spanning Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, connecting Wuxi in the north, Huzhou in the south, Yixing in the west and Suzhou in the east.

Taihu Lake covers an area of 2,427.8 square kilometers, with a water area of 2,338.1square kilometer and a coastline of 393.2 kilometers. Its west and southwest are hills and mountains, and its east is dominated by plains and water networks.

Taihu Lake is located in the subtropical zone, with a mild and humid climate and a monsoon climate. Because it is located in the most prosperous economic and cultural area in China, traveling around Taihu Lake is really a pleasant and interesting trip. It can be said that there are surprises step by step.

I chose three nodes that I think are representative of you: Zhouzhuang Water Town, Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden and Moganshan Mountain in Deqing County, Huzhou, to show you the beautiful scenery and profound cultural heritage south of Taihu Lake.

After breakfast, I set off from Wuxi and drove 45 kilometers to Suzhou. My goal: Humble Administrator's Garden.

The Humble Administrator's Garden, located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, was built in the early years of Zheng De in the Ming Dynasty (65438+the beginning of the 6th century) and is a masterpiece of classical gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. Over the past 400 years, the Humble Administrator's Garden has been divided and combined several times, either as a "private" house, a "golden house" or a "palace", leaving many attractive relics and allusions.

Humble Administrator's Garden, together with Beijing Summer Palace, chengde mountain resort and Suzhou Lingering Garden, is called the four famous gardens in China. Humble Administrator's Garden covers an area of 78 mu (about 5.2 hectares). The whole park is centered on water, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with pavilions, lush flowers and trees, and has strong characteristics of Jiangnan water town.

The garden is divided into three parts: east, middle and west. The east garden is spacious, the middle garden is the essence of the whole garden, and the west garden is beautifully built and has its own characteristics. Garden South is a residential area, reflecting the typical pattern of traditional houses in Jiangnan area. There is also Suzhou Garden Museum in the south of the garden, which is a garden museum.

In the Humble Administrator's Garden in late autumn, there is no killing by Xiao, only the frost is getting thicker and thicker.

Zhouzhuang, a small town in the south of the Yangtze River, has the reputation of "the first water town in China" and is the first batch of 5A scenic spots in China. Zhouzhuang was founded in 1086 (the first year of Northern Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty), and was named after the local citizen Mr. Zhou Digong donated land to repair Quanfu Temple. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it was a fief for the Prince of Wu, named Zhenfengli. Zhouzhuang, located in Kunshan, Suzhou, is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. In 2003, Zhouzhuang was named as a famous historical and cultural town in China.

Zhouzhuang, with a long history, is a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River with a unique cultural landscape, which is the treasure of China water town culture and Wu local culture. More than 60% of the houses in Zhouzhuang Town are still buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The ancient town with only 0.47 square kilometers has nearly 100 classical houses and more than 60 brick-carved gatehouses. The ancient style of Zhouzhuang folk houses still exists, and 14 ancient bridges with their own characteristics have been preserved. Attractions include: Shen Wansan's former residence, Fuan Bridge, Shuangqiao, Shenting, Weird Building and Zhouzhuang. Admission: 100 yuan. There are no residents in the water town now, and it has been replaced by a highly commercialized scenic spot management model. Except souvenir shops, all the streets and alleys are so-called "special snacks" (the same in the whole country). It is recommended to visit here mainly to see the buildings in the water town. I'm afraid the life scenes in "Boat House" can only be supplemented by brains.

Moganshan is one of the four summer resorts in China. Numerous historical celebrities not only won great celebrity effect for Moganshan, but also left countless poems, stone carvings, deeds and more than 200 celebrity villas with different styles and beautiful shapes. Moganshan, named after the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, is a famous leisure tourism and summer resort in China, where He Lv, the king of Wu, once sent generals and Mo Xie to forge unparalleled swords for men and women. Mogan Mountain has undulating mountains and beautiful scenery, with a scenic area of 43 square kilometers. Although it is not as majestic as Mount Tai and as steep as Huashan, it is known as "the first mountain in the south of the Yangtze River" with its green bamboo forests, inexhaustible clear mountain springs, scattered villas and charming scenery in four seasons.
