Tumushuk's introduction

Tumushuke is a county-level city directly under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It was built by the Third Agricultural Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and implemented a management system of integration of division and city. Approved by the State Council in 2002, it was officially listed in 2004. The administrative division area is 1.927 square kilometers, and the total population in 20 13 years is 1.6 million, including ethnic minorities 1 person. "Tumushuk" is Uighur, which means the place where the eagle's face is prominent. Located in the oasis on the northwest edge of Taklimakan Desert, the city is located in the center of Kashgar, Aksu, Zhou Ke and Hotan, bordering five Central Asian countries, and has five first-class open ports. It is the frontier of China's opening to countries in Central Asia, West Asia and South Asia, and it is also an important city along the new Eurasian Continental Bridge, the international corridor "China-Kyrgyzstan-Urumqi Railway" being built in China. Tumushuk has a pleasant climate and unique scenery, and is a production base of cotton, grain and fruit. Xiaohaizi Reservoir, located in the southwest of the city, with a storage capacity of 700 million cubic meters, is the source of life in the oasis. The desert, mountains and primitive Populus euphratica forest in the city concentrate the natural scenery of the western regions and are also one of the birthplaces of Daolang culture. The annual Western Food Tourism and Culture Festival has become an important brand that highlights Tumushuk's unique regional, ethnic and cultural characteristics.
