Essay about the Forbidden City
During the summer vacation this year, I went to Beijing to live for a while. During this period, I traveled to many places. The most impressive thing for me was going to the Forbidden City. Guangxi College Entrance Examination Network
I was surprised when I walked through the Jinshui Bridge, passed the Meridian Gate, and entered the Gate of Supreme Harmony. I have never seen such a big square, which can accommodate tens of thousands of people. There is a gate on each side of the square for evacuation. We walked forward step by step along the road paved with white marble, and looked up. Wow! I can’t believe this was made by humans. This Hall of Supreme Harmony is truly magnificent and magnificent. In the middle of the stairs there is a stone painting carved out of a huge stone. All kinds of dragons are carved on the entire stone carvings, which are gorgeous and mighty. Looking at such a large boulder carving, I couldn't help but sigh. Many years ago, there were no cranes and cranes. How did people move such huge stones here? I walked into the Hall of Supreme Harmony and found that the inside of the Hall of Supreme Harmony was also very wide: in the middle of the Hall of Supreme Harmony were placed incense tables and incense burners.
I left the Hall of Supreme Harmony and came to the Hall of Zhonghe. The scale here is larger than the previous scale. Next, I visited Baohe Hall, Qianqing Gate, and Qianqing Palace. We visited Jiaotai Hall, Kunning Gate, Kunning Palace, and finally came to the Imperial Garden. The entire Imperial Garden is full of ancient trees, most of which are cypress trees. It's like entering a primitive forest. Continuing to walk forward, we saw a hill made of Taihu stones. The name of the hill is Duixiu Mountain. Those Taihu stones are full of strange things, riddled with holes, and so strange that people can't help but marvel at the magic of nature.
After seeing the Imperial Garden, we decided to go to the Yangxin Hall. Along the way, we passed countless large and small palaces, which made people marvel at the grandeur of the Forbidden City. After arriving at the Yangxin Hall, there are exquisite dragon beds and various exquisite furniture. Many emperors from Emperor Kangxi onwards handled government affairs here.
Next, I finally took a rough look at the Palace Museum. The Palace Museum is the largest comprehensive museum in my country. It was established on the basis of the imperial palaces and their collections of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It displays the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, palace architecture, and a large collection of rare ancient artworks that no other museum in the world can match. Today, we visited the Forbidden City.
The Forbidden City, also known as the Forbidden City, was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is the largest and most complete ancient palace complex in my country. The entire building is magnificent, majestic and gorgeous. It covers an area of ??720,000 square meters and has 9,999 and a half rooms. It is a rectangular city surrounded by a 52-meter-wide moat.
The Forbidden City has four gates, and the main gate is called the Meridian Gate. We entered from the Shenwu Gate and through the Royal Garden. The Forbidden City is divided into the outer dynasty and the inner court according to the "front dynasty and back bedroom". The outer dynasty is centered on the three main halls of Taihe, Zhonghe and Baohe. It is the place where the emperor's government and grand ceremonies were held. The inner court is centered around Qianqing Palace, Jiaotai Palace, and Kunning Palace, where the emperor and his concubines lived. There are also East Sixth Palace and West Sixth Palace on the east and west sides, commonly known as "Three Palaces and Six Courtyards". Among them, the East Sixth Palace is now Most of them have been converted into ancient art exhibition halls; in addition, there are Wenhua Hall, Wuying Hall, Imperial Garden, etc.
When you come to the Forbidden City, you will see the vermilion walls and gray floors.
The most beautiful thing about the Forbidden City is the Imperial Garden to the north of Kunning Palace!
When you walk into the Imperial Garden, you will see pines and cypresses, exotic flowers and rocks. From time to time, there are pavilions, pavilions, waterside pavilions and small bridges, and a few birdsong or the tinkling sound of spring water can be heard; looking around, you can see several palaces and the spiers of the strange rocks on Tingshan Mountain from time to time. This wonderful combination of nature and artificiality can truly be described as "heaven on earth".
I heard that 1,000,000 people were used to build the Forbidden City! During the 13 years of building the Forbidden City, these people had to move dozens of tons of stones from more than a thousand miles away every day!
The Forbidden City is majestic and gorgeous, and it is also a testimony to the wisdom and greatness of the Chinese working people. I really hope you can visit here too!
