Travel Notes

It has been a month since I went to Qingzhou, and this travelogue has just been published. This lazy cancer is hopeless...

A classmate is getting married in Qingzhou, so I sent an invitation. After checking the time, it happened to be the weekend, so I readily agreed to the appointment. I have never been to Qingzhou, so I decided to just take it as a self-driving tour and spend two days in Qingzhou.

It is not too far from Qingdao to Qingzhou. It takes about three hours of driving via Qinglan and Weiji Expressways.

In order to avoid missing time, I got up early on Saturday morning to pack up and set off. I have to say that March and April are indeed the most beautiful times. The jasmine flowers on the roadside and some unnamed flowers are so beautiful. Perhaps, except for people, everything is beautiful as long as it is made into a film.

It took three and a half hours to reach the destination. Here is a reminder: if you take Provincial Highway 223 and 325, be careful of sudden speed limits. The navigation on some road sections will suddenly prompt a speed limit of 40.

First impression of Qingzhou: worthy of being an ancient city. Ancient refers to the ancient buildings that can be seen everywhere. We say ancient buildings instead of ancient buildings because many buildings are imitations and are not ancient buildings passed down through history.

03-30 Attending a wedding and visiting the ancient city

At the wedding, because the classmate is a teacher and out of town, most of the people present are colleagues. Or maybe it's the characteristics of the teacher profession. The whole hall is filled with the smell of "knowledge", just like a medium-sized knowledge exchange meeting.

After the wedding, I had a brief chat with my classmates, and then went back to the hotel to rest since I was too busy. Today's wedding appointments are generally like this. Going to the appointment often ends up attending a banquet, and even worse, you can't even say a few words.

The hotel is located at Home Inn on the edge of Songcheng. The location is very good. Across the road is a business district, which is very convenient for shopping and eating; it is across the river from Songcheng City, and it is only a dozen minutes' walk from Qingzhou Ancient City.

After a good nap at noon and resurrected with full health, I went to the rather "weird" ancient city of Qingzhou. I call it weird because it is a 5A scenic spot that does not charge a fee. There are not many 5A scenic spots that do not charge a fee. . Perhaps because it was windy and cold, the entire ancient city was not very popular and there was nothing eye-catching, which was very disappointing. However, it is commendable that the prices of small commodities in the ancient city are not increased like some attractions, and are similar to the prices in supermarkets. The entire ancient city is more like a commercial street, with various small shops, and it does have a city atmosphere.

The specialty snacks in Qingzhou are Laohuaishu pan-fried buns, Zhengmu sesame cakes, Longsheng cakes and various small twists.

There is an Ouyuan Garden in the ancient city, which is worth exploring. The ticket is 20 yuan/person. Ouyuan is the private garden of Feng Pu, a scholar of Wenhua Palace and Minister of the Ministry of Justice during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Its name is taken from "Nothing but Ou". There are four strange stones of "Fu, Shou, Kang and Ning" in it.

Entering the garden to learn about the history, I was impressed by the Feng family's literary family. From the Ming to the Qing Dynasty, the Feng family produced numerous literati, who were indeed powerful, but the one with the highest official rank was undoubtedly Feng Pu.

During this period, I met several students who were also visiting Ouyuan. The three of them, who looked like junior high school students, talked about history while walking. I really felt a lot: the cultural heritage of a city has great uses. Maybe that's it.

In the evening, I originally wanted to go to the ancient city to see the night view, but because it was not the peak tourist season, the lights in the ancient city were not turned on. After careful observation, there are small lights everywhere on the trees and eaves. It would be very beautiful to turn them all on. The old city without lights was boring, so we simply walked around and then headed to Songcheng. Songcheng was recommended by a classmate. It was said that the night view was beautiful, so I went there with high expectations, and it certainly lived up to my expectations.

Because I went there late, the lights were turned off not long after playing, and I didn’t take a few satisfactory photos

03-31 Qingzhou Museum, Fan Gongting Park

Qingzhou Museum is not too big, but it is definitely worth the trip, and I regret not making it the first stop.

When you go to a city, if there is a museum, you must visit the museum first. Learn about the history of this city and feel its unique atmosphere.

Unexpectedly, the small town of Qingzhou is also famous in history. Qingzhou is a transportation hub in the central part of the Shandong Peninsula. Before overseas trade began, Qingzhou had always been the administrative center of Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu and other provinces.

Fan Gongting Park is named after Fan Zhongyan Huizheng Zhiqingzhou. It is next to the museum. You can see the park entrance after exiting the museum gate.

Fan Gongting Park is very beautiful in spring. The flowers are in full bloom and the clusters of flowers are very beautiful and perfect for walking. But if you are traveling, there is nothing eye-catching.

Finally, let me praise Qingzhou’s parking lot. There are a lot of parking spaces painted on the roadside in Qingzhou, and they are all free parking spaces. It is very convenient for those who want to travel by car, which is great.
