Matters needing attention

1. There are many stops near Hengshan, and the nearest scenic spot is Hengshan West Station. Be sure to read carefully when buying tickets, especially when going home by bus. Hengshan, be careful not to go in the wrong direction.

The west station only stops the high-speed rail! (Remarks: There are Hengshan Railway Station, Hengyang Station and Hengyang East High-speed Railway near Hengshan)

2. The high-speed train is faster than the bullet train 1.5 hours, so you can choose according to your own needs. Choose Guangzhou South Railway Station at 8: 16 and arrive at Hengshan.

The West Railway Station is about 1 1: 40, leaving high-speed railway station, and the bus stop is not far ahead. It takes 20 minutes by bus to reach the vicinity of Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area in Nanyue (6 yuan per person, and the terminal is Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue.

There are two archways, the new archway and the old archway. I suggest you take the old downstairs bus at the terminal, which is close to the shuttle bus near the scenic spot, so it is convenient to go to the nearby scenic spot.

Nanyue temple

The first stop is Nanyue Temple, which is said to be very effective. I sincerely wish you goodbye here. Apart from its long history, this big temple has many characteristics. For example, the east and west sides of the temple are dedicated to Taoist and Buddhist gods respectively, with a palace in the middle.

If you look carefully, you will find that many columns here say that xx personnel or xx company specially opened a column in xx time. At first, you will feel very uncoordinated. Later, when you see some older ones, you will see the dedication of General xx or xx headquarters. I feel that this is witnessing history, and it is also a different feeling.

It is suggested that 1~2 hours is enough to visit Nanyue Temple.

Nanyue Temple has two front and rear gates (two ticket offices respectively). It is recommended to go out through the back door, which is the bus stop.

Water curtain cave scenic spot

Seeing that time was abundant, I decided to visit water curtain cave scenic spot temporarily, and took a bus at my own expense in front of Nanyue Temple (one-way 6 yuan, round trip 10 yuan, green bus) to reach water curtain cave scenic spot. To tell the truth, I felt that this scenic spot had no special features at that time and got a ticket for 30 yuan. Although this place is one of the "four wonders" of Nanyue, in fact, you don't have to go, it feels quite pitted, and it is not as wonderful as the scenic spot introduction. The idea at that time was, since I'm here, let's go. It takes less than 2 hours to go back and forth, which is considered crawling.

Nanyue water curtain cave is an alpine valley. It's not very big here, but the road is not easy to walk. Stone steps vary in size, and many of them are not roads. Be careful when you walk, especially when there are many people. It is said that this is the place where Emperor Yan of Zhu Ling lived, and many famous Taoist priests practiced here. Many famous bachelors left a lot of poems and songs here, but to be honest, I only know Zhang Sanfeng.

It takes about 1 hour to reach the highest point. Looking back, you can see many waterfalls of different sizes, and the current is not urgent. Walking all the way will be a little tired, so it's a warm-up for climbing Hengshan Mountain tomorrow.

Leave water curtain cave and return to the scenic free bus stop, which is about 5: 30 in the afternoon. When I arrived at the back door of the Great Temple, my boss took me back to the hotel and felt that the service was quite good.

Hengshan tourist center

Take the free bus to Hengshan Tourist Center, buy tickets here and enter Hengshan Scenic Area. There is also a small Hengshan Museum, where you can get a brief understanding of Hengshan Mountain with free tickets.

Sunrise trip

The highlight of this trip was to watch the sunrise on the sun-watching platform, and I went to bed at 8 o'clock on the first night. The next day, I set my alarm clock and charged my mobile phone. (My mobile phone is fast 10 minutes) I leave at 2 o'clock on time. From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, it takes about 3 hours by car and on foot (around the mountain road). Many people go to Hengshan Mountain to watch the sunrise. If you climb the mountain all the way, it will take you about 6 hours to reach the Sun Observatory and start climbing around 12. (Sun Stand is not the highest peak, about 2 kilometers away from Zhurongfeng, the highest peak. ) The weather and air along the road are very good, and you can see the stars all over the sky.

Matters needing attention when hiking

1. There are Internet signals on the mountain and along the road, so you can use the map navigation of your mobile phone (I use the navigation of Gaode Landmark, which is quite accurate).

There are no street lamps along the road. It is recommended to bring a flashlight or use the flashlight that comes with your mobile phone (remember to bring a charging treasure).

Along the way up the mountain, you will find many motorcycle drivers, most of whom are driving to the worse gate.

I don't know the price of private motorcycles because I take an eco-car, but it is not recommended, because there are no street lights along the way, and they want to carry more passengers quickly, but Hengshan has many detours, so it is quite dangerous.

4. Sell a bottle of ordinary mineral water in Mid-levels in 3 yuan, Nantianmen.

Just sell 5-6 yuan, go to Sun Stand 6-8 yuan and Zhurongfeng 6- 10 yuan. Prepare water according to your own situation. I suggest a bottle of sports drink of Baokuangli type, plus a bottle of plain water and some chocolate. The corn on the mountain needs 5-8 yuan.

It was about 5:25 when we arrived at the Sun Observatory, and it was very cold (1000m 6 degrees). It is only 4-5 degrees on the mountain, and it is before sunrise. There are coats for rent on the mountain, and you can rent them if necessary (but I don't rent them, so I don't know the specific price)

The best direction to watch the sunrise at this time is 60 degrees east-south.

This day is about 6 o'clock sunrise, and the temperature is very cold. I bought a box of 10 instant noodles in the mountains, which was not bad.

Zhu rongfeng

Leave Sun Observation Deck and reach Zhurongfeng, the highest peak, about 2 kilometers, and walk for about 40 minutes. It's completely bright at this time, very beautiful. Zhurongfeng is one of the four wonders of Nanyue and Hengshan.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery, around 7: 30, there are more and more tourists. Many people take pictures around the big stones in Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue, and then walk for about 40 minutes to the ropeway entrance, starting at 8 am.

The cableway returned to the Mid-Levels Pavilion. I am really tired. I ate some bread and went back to the hotel to rest at about 9 o'clock.
