What procedures need to be completed to go abroad to Laos?
You need to apply for a visa to go to Laos. Laos opens ordinary visas and visas on arrival to Chinese citizens holding ordinary private passports. Applying for a visa to Laos is divided into two steps, and the documents that need to be prepared are also different. They are divided into materials required for visa on arrival and materials required for domestic visa application.
A visa is a permission certificate issued by a country's government agency in accordance with the laws of the country to foreigners who apply to enter, exit or pass through the country. According to the principles of international law, any sovereign country has the right to decide independently whether to allow foreigners to enter or exit its country, and has the right to issue visas, refuse to issue visas, or revoke already issued visas in accordance with its own laws.

Article 9 Chinese citizens who intend to enter or exit the country must apply for a passport or other Travel documents. Chinese citizens traveling to other countries or regions also need to obtain a visa or other entry permit from the country of destination. However, this does not apply unless the Chinese government has signed a mutual visa exemption agreement with the governments of other countries or if the Ministry of Public Security or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides otherwise. Chinese citizens who enter or exit the country as seafarers or work on foreign ships must apply for a seafarer's certificate in accordance with the law.
