For example, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou and Baima Temple in Luoyang have become important tourism products in this area. Religious tourism is a high-quality tourist market with large market scale and stable demand. Leshan has a good foundation for developing religious tourism, but the development and publicity of religious tourism in Leshan are not enough. Only through scientific planning and rational development can it help to expand the influence of Leshan religious tourism and realize the industrialization of Leshan religious tourism, which is of great significance to improve the industrial structure of Leshan.

Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is a national "4A" famous tourist attraction, which is listed on the World Heritage List together with Emei Mountain. It has very rich and high-grade tourism resources. Buddhist culture in the scenic spot has a long history, and the religious atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, it has been the yearning place for many celebrities, scholars and tourists. With religious tourism gradually becoming the most important tourism trend in the world, giant buddha will also have a rare development opportunity. How can we make good use of this opportunity? The author thinks that giant buddha needs to further enrich the content of religious tourism, develop more attractive tourism forms, and attract tourists to visit, pilgrimage, Buddhist cultural exchange and study, leisure and health tourism, which can not only improve the tourism culture level of Leshan, but also produce good social and economic benefits, and promote the healthy and rapid development of Leshan tourism.

Introduction:

abstract

Leshan, a beautiful city, is famous as "the world's largest Buddha", and the giant Buddha was born of religion. It can be said that religion gave birth to this scenic spot listed in the World Heritage List. Therefore, giant buddha's religious tourism resources have great development potential. The author studies the historical origin of Leshan religious (Buddhist) tourism and culture vertically; Through the horizontal comparative study of giant buddha's development status and careful investigation and analysis of tourists' psychological needs, this paper sums up several schemes to further tap giant buddha's religious tourism resources, namely, developing religious sightseeing tourism, religious pilgrimage tourism, religious study and exchange tourism, religious health-keeping tourism and religious leisure and entertainment tourism. The rational development and utilization of the Buddhist tourism resources of the Giant Buddha will not only help to further meet people's deep understanding and demand for tourism products, but also contribute to the long-term development of Leshan tourism.
