Subsidy standard for private museums in Chongqing

1. According to official website information of Chongqing Tourism Bureau, Chongqing gives operating subsidies to private museums that receive more than 1 10,000 visitors every year. The total annual subsidy of each museum shall not exceed1000000 yuan, and each museum shall apply for the operating subsidy of the previous year. The operating subsidy is calculated according to the operating subsidy per person and the total number of free visits. The operating subsidy per person is calculated according to the total amount of places, utilities and property management fees except the total number of free visits in the previous year, but not higher than that in 50 yuan.

2. Private museums can apply for financial allocation provided by the government to maintain and protect the cultural relics of museums and improve the infrastructure of museums.

3. Private museums can apply for technical support provided by the government, mainly supporting the technical construction of museum management, exhibition and education.
