The climate in Xishuangbanna during the Spring Festival is pleasant, with temperatures around 25 degrees. In this cold winter, it is a good choice to take your family to Xishuangbanna.

Xishuangbanna has a tropical climate. It is close to Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and other countries in South Asia, so its architectural style is similar to these countries. Xishuangbanna, like Thailand and other South Asian countries, believe in Buddhism. The architectural style, customs, clothing, food culture, etc. all have a South Asian flavor, so in China we all like to call Xishuangbanna Little Thailand.

Due to Xishuangbanna’s unique cultural customs and climate, it also creates a colorful and charming Xishuangbanna tourism. Therefore, there is an endless stream of people coming to Xishuangbanna every year. Arriving in Xishuangbanna is like the illusion of being in Southeast Asia. , the most famous tourist attractions in Xishuangbanna include Manting Park, Wild Elephant Valley, Big Buddha Temple, Botanical Garden, Gaozhuang, Ethnic Customs Garden, Dai Garden, Night Tour on Lancang River, etc.

Let’s talk about accommodation first. It is recommended that you stay near Gaozhuang. There are many hotels and inns here. The key is that there is also a lot of food here, including various local dishes, Yunnan dishes and local Xishuangbanna dishes. Gaozhuang is Xishuangbanna has become a popular place in recent years. You can also visit the night market in the evening, and it is convenient and close to the Lancang River to watch the night view.

Itinerary arrangement: Since the Spring Festival holiday is only seven days long, we may choose to spend two days at home with our family to celebrate the holiday. Therefore, we have planned the itinerary in Xishuangbanna for three to four days.

On the first day, we visited Manting Park in the afternoon, and then participated in the large-scale theatrical performance of Mekong River Lancang Night held in Manting Park in the evening. This show mainly focused on the cultural customs and songs and dances of various ethnic minorities in Xishuangbanna. Not bad, worth a look.

The next day, we visited Yexiang Valley in the morning, took a short rest after returning to the city, and then visited Gaozhuang Night Market in the afternoon or evening to find delicious food.

Xishuangbanna is also a famous scenic spot because of the presence of wild elephants. The scenic area is crisscrossed with river valleys, dense forests, and a tropical rainforest scenery, where rare animals such as Asian wild elephants, bison, green peacocks, and macaques grow. Various elephant performances may be arranged every day.

On the third day, we visited the Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the 55A scenic area. You have to enjoy it carefully and have fun. It is full of scenery, flowers, plants and various subtropical trees.

On the fourth day, we visited the Big Buddha Temple in the morning and the Tropical Flower Garden, Dai Garden or Customs Garden in the afternoon.

On the fifth day, you can arrange your own itinerary according to the itinerary. You can freely choose other attractions, such as the Dai Nationality Garden, or the China-Myanmar border, the China-Laos border, Kilo Village, Cultural Village and other places.

Let me say here that when you go to the local area, you need to find a regular travel agency and sign a formal travel contract. This way you are guaranteed, there is no forced shopping, and there will be no shady tour guides. The main reason is that we don't have enough time, otherwise we can go to other places, which would be perfect.
