Emei Mountain Travel Guide Where is Emei Mountain?

I made some preparations before the trip. There will be more rain at the turn of spring and summer, so I read the weather forecast and decided to get my clothes and rain gear ready. This time, it was mainly a trip to the mountain city, and I went to the famous Emei Mountain.

summary

Itinerary: Leshan Giant Buddha-Emei Mountain (Jinding, Wannian Temple, Yinqing Pavilion, Yixiantian).

Duration: two days on the weekend (the time is a little short, at least three days is recommended)

Transportation: Chengdu, high-speed railway station, Emei Mountain and high-speed railway station can all reach Shuangliu Airport, which is very convenient.

Gourmet: grilled fish, rabbit head, bitter bamboo shoots (the smell of bamboo shoots on the mountain is very fragrant), a good meal. The toe beef made in Emei Mountain is introduced by China on the tip of the tongue. This soup is very fresh and strong. It is said that it is made of more than a dozen medicinal materials, and the beef is very tender.

On the way out of Emei Mountain, I looked at the distant mountain outside the window, where the green forest was lush and people hurried by. There is a puppy lying lazily and comfortably on the ground next to the rice field. Unfortunately, I can't leisurely stroll and visit the green hills in Dai Mo, so please record what I saw in Leshan and finally tell me about this trip.

I have many regrets during my trip to Leshan. I regret not seeing the Buddha's light in Shifang Pu Xian, or even Shifang Pu Xian's face. It's a pity that I didn't see the fat monkey 150 kg on Emei Mountain. Regret not tasting delicious bitter bamboo shoots; Unfortunately, I didn't sit still and feel the deep and quiet of Mount Emei. Fortunately, I gained a lot, and I came to glad you came. Just like this travel book, there must be many imperfections, but there is one advantage worth writing about.

Buddhist holy land

Leshan was called history in ancient times, and later the Analects of Confucius was renamed Leshan, which means "those who know enjoy water and those who are benevolent enjoy Leshan". This little-known town, with the dual heritage of world nature and material culture, is an excellent tourist city and historical and cultural city in China.

An unavoidable topic in Leshan is Buddhism. Leshan Giant Buddha and Emei Mountain are closely related to Buddhism. I have been to many places related to Buddhism, such as Ta 'er Temple in Qinghai, Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and Maijishan Grottoes in Tianshui, but my understanding of Buddhism is fragmentary. This time, I was lucky enough to meet a very good tour guide, who could have a deeper understanding of Buddhism.

Worship Buddha: Buddhism also has rules. This rule not only refers to the constraints on believers, but also reflects some etiquette.

For example, Chengdu is closer to Mount Emei, and it is actually a more reasonable route from Chengdu to Mount Emei and then to Leshan Giant Buddha. However, the travel itinerary often arranges Leshan Giant Buddha as the first stop before going to Emei Mountain, because Leshan Giant Buddha is Maitreya Buddha and Emei Mountain Wannian Temple is dedicated to Bodhisattva, so you have to worship Buddha before you can worship Buddha.

For example, when you worship Buddha, you should first offer lamps and then burn incense, hold incense three times in front of the Buddhist temple, and worship the three buddhas in previous lives after entering the temple, which is called three worships and nine knocks.

Wish: People often wear Buddha statues or bodhisattvas for peace. These objects are called utensils, and they are spiritual only after they are ignited or wished.

Everyone knows that it is difficult to turn on the light, but they don't know what they want to do. There are strict requirements for opening the light, which requires monks to practice. As the saying goes, "It is easier to ask God to send him than to send him". Wishing is relatively simple. Wrap the Buddhist articles in white silk paper, write down the name, date of birth and wish of the wearer, take them to the temple, and circle the Buddha three times clockwise, and the wish will come true. According to the tour guide, if Pingan Xu is willing, only the Bodhisattvas who go to the Wannian Temple in Emei Mountain will be willing to make a positive result.

Leshan Giant Buddha

Leshan Giant Buddha

Leshan Giant Buddha is located in Lingyun Mountain, also known as Lingyun Giant Buddha, at the intersection of Dadu River, Qingyi River and Minjiang River. Built in the Tang Dynasty, where Buddhism prevailed, it took 90 years to complete after four emperors and three generations.

Because it is carved from powdery sandstone, the giant Buddha is easy to weather, so T.

Leshan Giant Buddha was originally built for flood control and prayed for the safety of the Buddha. It is said that since the Buddha statue was built, no one here has been drowned by the flood. The mysterious events about the giant Buddha don't stop there. It is said that the giant Buddha has closed his eyes and shed tears three times because of heavy casualties in domestic disasters, and the giant Buddha once appeared in the Buddha's light, which surprised the world. Regardless of the testability of various legends, these statements at least show people's awe and hope for the Buddha.

Of course, some people think that the essence of building a giant Buddha is a secret religious act, and flood control is just a cover. In addition, the Buddha's light is visible only because of its special location. Under certain weather conditions, Leshan Giant Buddha can see the Buddha light of Emei Mountain. As an ordinary tourist, we don't talk nonsense until the end, just quietly feel the atmosphere of the whole people believing in Buddhism and taste the piety of the prayers. The tour guide said, don't be indifferent to anyone's suffering, and don't sneer at other people's beliefs.

There is a saying in Leshan: "Leshan tour guide has a broken mouth and Emei tour guide has a broken leg." It means that the tour guide of Leshan Giant Buddha needs to constantly explain to tourists, while the tour guide of Emei Mountain will constantly accompany tourists. If there is no professional guide to explain the cultural landscape like Leshan Giant Buddha, we really don't know its background story and cultural connotation, so we must ask a guide to introduce it.

Silent morning

At five o'clock, under Mount Emei, only the dripping rain, rustling insects and frogs were heard, as if there were thousands of insects and frogs in that forest. The roar of the car faded away from far and near, which is the only sound that can prove that there is someone here.

This peace cannot last. At 5: 30, I was walking on the road of Bao Guo Temple Scenic Area, and I opened the door early to meet the passing tourists. Some local old people who sell raincoats, boots and trekking poles are not afraid of the falling rain, so they sell their products when they meet people. When taxi drivers see pedestrians with backpacks, they will also stick out their heads and ask if they need a ride.

You will never know whether it is the quiet, lonely and unfathomable mountain or the real Emei Mountain, the noisy and crowded mountain.

Visit in the rain

Take sightseeing bus from Huangwan Visitor Center around 7: 00, and arrive at Ping Bus Station two hours later. The rain is getting heavier and the fog is getting bigger and bigger. I immediately adjusted my expectations. Don't expect the Buddha's light, don't expect the magnificence of the mountain. I just want to appreciate Emei's obscurity and shyness in the rain. Considering that I have to catch the train in the afternoon, I finally adjusted it to the following route:

Dong Leiping Bus Station-Jieyin Temple (about 65438+ 0.5km walk).

Jieyin Temple-Jinding (cable car, round trip about 15km), take the cable car directly back to Jieyin Temple, and walk from Jieyin Temple to Dong Leiping Bus Station.

Dong Leiping Bus Station-Wannian Temple (sightseeing bus, about 10 km)

Wannian Temple-Yin Qing Pavilion-Yixiantian-Wuxiangang Bus Station (about 12km walk).

Looking into the distance, the Jinding is resplendent, the Buddha's light is bright, and the drizzle never stops, only the general outline of Pu Xian can be seen. After sitting in sightseeing bus for two hours and taking a cable car for a few minutes, we reached Jinding easily, which only allowed us to stay here for one minute. Fortunately, the tour guide said that only one third of Mount Emei is sunny every year, which was a little relieved.

Fang Pu Xian

It seems that it rains every time I climb a mountain. Even so, there are no regrets and troubles. The drizzle in the mountains, like flirting, makes the towering mountains gentle and delicate, rather than arrogant and unrestrained under the scorching sun, so strolling among them adds a touch and romance. What's more, Qian Shan is full of water. The mountains seen in different seasons, different weather and different angles have different flavors. If you are lucky enough to see the mountains in the rain, walk slowly and enjoy yourself.

Take Mount Emei as an example

It's hard to see the sky.

One day, in the face of the huge Emei Mountain scenic spot, I could only make one choice, so I made full use of transportation, but the last part was on my own.

Arrive at the ticket gate of Wannian Temple around 2 o'clock. We need to walk 12 km before 4: 30, visit three scenic spots, and take photos for dinner during this time. When I arrived at Wannian Temple, it was very leisurely. After listening to the tour guide's words, I explained why the back of the Xiangshan thigh of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra was sunken after the name change of Wannian Temple, and how the 7.4-meter-high statue of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra was placed in the 4-meter-high hall.

It's about 3 o'clock now, in Yin Qingge. It is said that the sky can't be missed, so I hurried to find a scenic spot. It was still raining, but I put away my umbrella and raincoat and let the raindrops soak. The scenery on both sides of the mountain is charming, and water flows through the mountain in the middle. Occasionally raise your head and exclaim, and the photo will be omitted. Along the way, I asked the roadside to run around in a hurry, but I couldn't find a trace. Later, I found that I had missed it. On the way back, I was discussing where the scope was, so I didn't notice it. There are no signs or hints. There is a corner, and the mountains on both sides are very close. When you look up, it looks more like a sky ten feet high. Compared with the scenery in other places, this place is probably a sight.

After determining the first-line scenic spots, we also started another round of competition. In the process of running, we feel green, foggy and humid, inaccessible and primitive, and unspeakable happiness. I like Emei Mountain, a free place, and everything has an indescribable atmosphere. I know I'm going to say goodbye to her when I run away, but the Buddha country of Fairy Mountain has always been engraved in my heart, and I'm no stranger to mentioning Emei.

I haven't climbed many mountains, but I have a clear love for them. The rolling mountains are magnificent, and people can't help but look up and admire. They can't help but want to hug her with open arms or simply throw themselves into her arms. I can't have such beautiful scenery. She will never belong to anyone. She just stood there forever. No matter who transforms it or watches it, she can't really be conquered. Thinking of this, my eyes are more greedy and I don't want to leave the scenery for a moment, so that I can keep all the scenery in my heart.

Everywhere I go, I try my best to remember her characteristics. Although it is impossible to fully understand the whole picture of the scenic spot after a trip, such as taking a cursory look at the flowers, looking at the leopard in the tube and touching the elephant by the blind, I still try my best to keep all the impressions of the scenic spot.
