1. Dali Ancient City

Dali Ancient City is also known as Ye Yu City and Purple City. There are many cultural relics and historic sites in the ancient city, the urban pattern is basically preserved, and important sites can be identified. There are 14 key cultural relics protection units at or above the municipal level in the ancient city, including Wenwen Building and Wuhua Building. There are very beautiful Bai buildings in the ancient city, which are relatively well preserved.

2. Shuanglang Ancient Town

Shuanglang Ancient Town, adjacent to Erhai Lake and Jizu Mountain, is a provincial-level historical and cultural town in Yunnan Province. It is one of the birthplaces of bronze culture, Erhai civilization and Dali civilization. This is the location of "Five Golden Flowers" and has the first town of Erhai in Cangshan Mountain. There are Nanzhao Fengqing Island, Hongshan Jingdi Temple, Yuji Island, Yuji Temple, Jinbang Temple, Zhengjue Temple, Dajianbian Village, Yanfei Temple, Fenglangqing Cave and other attractions.

3. Erhai Lake

Erhai Lake is not a sea, but it is more beautiful than any sea. Erhai Lake is one of the four scenic spots in Dali, and the Erhai Moon is right here. A beautiful plateau lake, as narrow as a crescent moon, lies quietly between Cangshan Mountain and Dali Bazi. It is shaped like an ear and is named Erhai Lake. There is Erhai Park in Tuanshan, the southernmost point of Erhai Lake, which is a good place to enjoy the scenery of Cangshan and Erhai Lake.

4. Xizhou

Lao She once called it the most decent town in a remote place in China. The quiet and simple Bai folk houses, the colorful tie-dyed long cloths along the streets, the egrets perched on the big green trees at the entrance of the town, and the simple and enthusiastic blue cloth residents. Xizhou has the most and best preserved Bai folk houses.

Xizhou is famous for Yang Pinxiang’s residence, Yan’s courtyard, Hou’s courtyard, etc. It not only maintains the characteristics of Bai traditional residences, but also integrates Chinese and Western architectural techniques.

5. Nuodeng

Nuodeng is a Bai village with a history of thousands of years. The name of this village has not changed in a thousand years. So far, the archway in the ancient town is the largest existing ancient wooden archway in western Yunnan. A large number of Ming and Qing buildings and the famous Yuhuang Pavilion Taoist building have been preserved in the village. The tall ancient Pistacia chinensis trees in the village are 30-40 meters high, and the oldest tree is more than 800 years old.

Dali Ancient City is located in the northwest of Dali, at the foot of the beautiful Cangshan Mountain. The city wall is square in shape, with a tower above and an acropolis below, four gates in the southeast and northwest, and three streams in the north and south as natural barriers. The outer layer of the city wall is made of blue bricks. The city runs through five streets from south to north and eight streets from west to east. The entire city is laid out in a chessboard pattern.

3. Chongsheng Temple

Chongsheng Temple, located 1.5 kilometers north of the ancient city of Dali, was a royal temple during the Dali period. Today's Chongsheng Temple was rebuilt in 2005 and is very large. You can feel the style of the royal temples in Nanzhao and Dali periods. The main buildings in the temple include the mountain gate, three pagodas, Dharma Hall, Maitreya Hall, Eleven-faced Guanyin Hall, Main Hall, Ayiya Guanyin Pavilion, Wanghai Tower, Luo Hall, etc.

4. Cangshan Mountain

Cangshan Mountain is located in the northwest suburb of Dali, west of Erhai Lake, about 2 kilometers away from the ancient city of Dali. It is the main peak at the southern end of the Yunling Mountains and has extremely beautiful scenery. The snow scenery on the main peak is majestic and spectacular, and it is one of the four major scenic spots in Dali. The clouds and clouds on the mountain are unpredictable, and their shapes are strange, just like Wang Mi clouds and Yudai clouds. 5. Shuanglang
