Introduction to attractions

The Qing Temple was built in the ninth year of Chongjie in the Ming Dynasty (1636) and is located in the Tianxi Valley of Dinghu Mountain in Zhaoqing. Passing through the mid-level pavilion, you can see a memorial pavilion. Walk up the path behind the pavilion and you will reach Qingyun Temple. It is the largest temple in Zhaoqing and one of the four famous temples in Lingnan (the other three are Shaoguan Nanhua Temple, Chaozhou Kaiyuan Temple and Guangzhou Guangxiao Temple). A very famous temple with strong incense, you can come here to pray. The vegetarian restaurant here is also very famous.

In the 19th year of Guangxu (1893), the Empress Dowager Cixi gave the "Wanshou Qingyun Temple" plaque and the "Longzang Sutra" to the temple on her 60th birthday, and repaired the temple. The plaque inscribed by the Empress Dowager Cixi is also an attraction in the temple.

Among them, the famous three treasures of Zhenshan are: Thousand People Wok, Big Bronze Bell, and 300-year-old white tea tree. In winter, white camellias hang all over the branches, and their fragrance is overflowing. The thousand-man cast iron wok is an out-and-out symbol of incense in Qingyun Temple in the Qing Dynasty. It is used by all the monks in the temple to eat. It was built during the Qianlong period and is nearly 1m deep. This large bronze bell is located above the bell tower of the temple. It was cast during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, and the monks would cast it every morning.

In addition to worshiping Buddha, more people come to Qingyun Temple to fast. The characteristic flavor of Zhaoqing is Dinghu Shangsu. The source of this famous dish is Qingyun Temple in Dinghu Mountain. It is said to be made from mountain spring water and natural ingredients, and its reputation is so great that it almost overshadows Qingyun Temple itself.

The dining hall in the temple is decorated, high-end, and quite expensive. Cold dishes are about 40 yuan, and hot dishes are basically 80-90 yuan. Of course, there are still many people who come here to eat and eat to make their trip more complete. Recommended dishes include Dinghu Vegetarian, Qingyun Yipin Hot Pot, and Vegetarian Dishes.
