Chongming Dongtan Travel Notes Fourth Grade Composition

Grandma is here, and we plan to take her to Chongming Island. On the way to Chongming, you must first pass through a relatively long river tunnel, and then come to a very long bridge. Dad told me that this bridge is more than 9900 meters long, which means it is almost 10 kilometers long. It is the longest bridge I have ever experienced so far. It is so long!

After arriving at the destination, I took a deep breath when I got off the car. The air was great, the breeze blew gently, it was so cool! We first went to an exhibition room and saw many bird specimens and an alligator. Dongtan is so big inside. We walked along the gravel road and looked around. It was such a long way, and I couldn’t even walk anymore. What impressed me the most was the Wetland Research Center. There was an alligator in a pond inside. I thought it was so lonely and I really wanted to feed it something to eat.

In the wetland, we also saw a beautiful egret. Unfortunately, it was far away from us on the other side. However, when it flew up, I saw its long, snow-white wings from a distance. The flying posture is so graceful!

After walking so much, we were really tired. We had to say goodbye to the beautiful Dongtan. I think this trip, although very tiring, I saw a lot of new and interesting things!
