What's interesting about Dalian Black Rock Reef?

There is Black Rock Reef Park, which is located on the coast of Black Rock Reef in the southwest of Dalian, starting from Dalian Ocean University in the west and going east along Dalian Natural Museum to the west gate of Xinghai Park, with an area of1.2000 square meters. It was built in 2004.

The park is dominated by marine culture, with 8,000 square meters of marine popular science square, carved with 3 12 marine life figures and 275 marine life sightseeing stone pillars.

The park has paved an artificial beach of 60,000 square meters, a coastal sightseeing wooden plank road of 1.600 meters, a circular viewing platform of 1.500 square meters, a garden of 6,000 square meters, and more than 200 black reef gardens with different shapes and characteristics, which reproduce the natural beauty and beautiful legends of the black reef.

The Black Reef at the seaside of Black Reef Park is a karst landform formed more than one billion years ago, covering an area of about three square kilometers. At low tide, dark rock masses are exposed, which are layered like solidified waves and have different shapes, close to the bustling urban area of Dalian. Through the efforts of environmental protection, urban construction and non-governmental environmentalists in Dalian, the natural landscape and ecology of Heishi Reef have been protected and restored.
