After attacking Wudang Mountain, Zhu Yunwen fled here, and the Taoist holy land is now little known. Where is it?
Wuduo Mountain, the holy land of Taoism
Wuduo Mountain, also known as Wuduo Mountain, is located in the southwest of nanzhao county, belonging to the southern foot of Funiu Mountain in western Henan, about 50 kilometers away from Nanyang City, close to 207 national highway and expressway in Guangdong and Guangxi, with convenient transportation.
As early as the Zhenguan period in the Tang Dynasty, when Taoism flourished, a Taoist temple was built here and a rain-praying ceremony was held. Since the Ming Dynasty, the ancestral temple at the top of Wuduo Mountain has been called "the summit of ancestors", "the golden summit" and "the northern summit", far away from Wudang Mountain, attracting countless pilgrims and tourists.
Wuduoshan
According to ancient books, Wuduo Mountain was once called "One Mountain" (Shan Hai Jing), "Seven Mountain" (Water Mirror Notes) and "Riding Mountain" (Taiping Universe).
It is clearly pointed out in the Nanyang annals of Ming Jiajing that "the five peaks of this mountain stand side by side, and the sacred flower, the Zen temple flower, the black cloud flower, the charming girl flower and the Sargam flower stand side by side", and the five main peaks of "Qi Li Gu Feng" are three kilometers north and south, towering into the sky. The Song Dynasty declared that Wuduo Mountain was a combination of the verve of five mountains. "The east flower is like the seat of Mount Tai, the west flower is like the beauty of Huashan, the middle flower is like the lying of Songshan, and the north flower is like a trip to Hengshan."
Taoist culture in Wuduoshan is reaching its peak in the new period.
1978, the prelude of China's reform and opening-up, the people's government of Henan Province announced the centralized opening of Wanfu Palace Taoist Temple on Wuduo Mountain to entertain pilgrims and tourists. In 2003, after entering the Millennium, the People's Government of nanzhao county officially hired Min Zhiting, a native and respected Taoist, as the honorary Taoist of Wuduo Mountain, to promote the profound Taoist culture to shine again in the new era.

The famous historical legend of Wuduo Mountain
The reason why Wuduo Mountain, which is also a famous Taoist mountain, echoes Wudang Mountain in Nanfeng is said to be related to the change of Jingnan in Ming Dynasty. Ming Huidi Zhu Yunwen fled the palace by fire on the night of the war, and fled to Wudu Mountain to hide. Under the guidance of Zhang Sanfeng, a centenarian, he made a positive result.

Wuduoshan ecology
Although the "Little Huashan Mountain in Central Plains" has winding mountain roads, the scenery along the way is beautiful. Visitors can choose slow or dangerous routes according to their actual situation, as well as cable cars, glass plank roads and other sightseeing facilities, and enjoy the panoramic view of Wuduo Mountain from different angles with a leisurely mood.
Wuduoshan cableway is known as "the first cable in China", with short distance and big drop. The glass plank road at an altitude of 1500m is 309m long, which really makes people feel the fairy pleasure of walking on clouds.
Even if the sun is shining, the mountains are green, cool and breathing oxygen-rich fresh air. Climbing up step by step not only makes people feel tired, but also makes people full of strength.
When we arrived at the gully valley, it was a ravine with deep grass and dense forests. The faint Shan Ye seemed to be in the dark, and only the light of the sun scattered floating broken gold among the dense branches and leaves. The scorching sun on weekdays was as smart as fluffy wild fruits in the forest.
When climbing on foot, when encountering steep mountains and narrow paths, it is inevitable to grasp the trees and vines on the roadside and walk carefully. People should always respect nature and enjoy the beauty of outdoor leisure under the premise of ensuring the safety factor.
When we finally reach the top of the mountain, if it happens that the weather is fine, the blue sky is washed, and the golden sun shines all over our body, the whole world seems to be at our feet.
Walking on the ridge is like walking in the clouds. The mountains are close at hand, and the sky seems within reach. Climbers look like little black spots, like a group of small ants running in a race ... but if the clouds evaporate, that's another matter.
As can be seen from the above, Wuduo Mountain in the north, which is also a famous Taoist mountain, is not as famous as Wudang Mountain in the south, but it is also a summer resort with superior geographical environment, profound historical and cultural heritage and beautiful original ecological scenery.
As Confucius said, "Those who know enjoy water and those who are benevolent enjoy Leshan", try to be a person with wisdom, benevolence and love for life! Hiking the five mountains with three or two friends, feeling the comfort and tranquility of the mountains and the gurgling of the streams.
