Diebu County, under the jurisdiction of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the alpine valley between Minshan Mountain and Dieshan Mountain at the western foot of Qinling Mountains, at the junction of Ganchuan Mountain on the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, adjacent to Zhuoni in the north, Zhouqu County in the east, Hadapu Town in Dangchang County in the northeast and ruoergai county and Jiuzhaigou County in Sichuan Province in the southwest. The total area is 5 108.3 square kilometers.

Diebu County was called Diezhou in ancient times, which means thumb in Tibetan. It's called the place where the mountain gods press. There are revolutionary sites such as the Russian headquarters of the Red Army's Long March, the Battle of Lazikou, and the natural barrier, as well as the Rannao Majiayao cultural site and the Tibetan Buddhist temple. Climatic characteristics

Diebu County is located in the transitional zone between continental climate and maritime climate, which belongs to atypical continental climate, with distinct wet and dry seasons and prominent monsoon climate characteristics. Precipitation is mostly concentrated in summer, rainy in spring and rainy in autumn.
