The History of Suzhou Amusement Park Construction

Suzhou amusement park is located in the center of Suzhou New District, with a planned area of 94 hectares. Relying on the famous Lion Mountain, the first phase of the project-Water World and the second phase-Happy World were opened in1July 1995 and1February 1997 respectively.

The first phase of the project, Water World, covers an area of 8 hectares and is located at the southern foot of Lion Mountain. The main business is Suzhou Amusement City Water World, with a total investment of 60 million yuan, which is invested and constructed by Suzhou New District Economic Development Group Company. The main projects include elevated combined slideway, wave pool, swimming pool and drifting river.

Water World was opened to the public in July 1995, and received 600,000 tourists in more than 40 days in the first year. The peak day received 33,000 people, setting a new record for the domestic water recreation industry and becoming a hot spot for summer tourism in East China.
