First of all, how do you think about the word "poverty"? Poverty refers to your current financial situation. You don't have that much money; but what about poverty? It means that a person has no hope.

Most young people are poor.

Because young people have not yet reached the season of earning income, it does not mean that a young person is worthless.

For example, Professor Xue gave the example of debater Zhan Qingyun, who I also like very much. She borrowed millions to study for a degree at Harvard. Financially, she was poor, but was she poor?

She is not poor.

In fact, I think Qingyun is not only poor, she is also very smart and promising.

In the fifth Qi Pa Talk, Professor Xue and Qing Yun are my favorites. They are a different kind of debater: one who is well-read in poetry, has a doctorate, and is a famous professor. They bring us different viewpoints on debate, broaden our horizons, and enrich the knowledge in our minds.

Professor Xue went on to say that he often tells his students that each of you is a millionaire by the pound, and the value of assets = the discounted sum of future income streams.

You still have many possibilities in the future, and you can earn a lot of wealth and value. Why are you not confident when you are young!

He analyzed from an economic point of view that a young person is not poor. If he thinks he is poor and hides it when he is not poor, it is actually a sign of lack of confidence in the value he can create in the future. .

This perspective is really not something anyone can say. Professor Xue's point of view is so eye-catching. I didn't see this statement a few years ago, or there was such a statement but the expression was not attractive enough.

Professor Xue let us know how an economics professor views this common sense and how he calculates and evaluates value.

Young people are indeed very poor. They only have living expenses provided by their parents. The amount of money each person has depends on their parents. There will naturally be differences between more and less, and there will naturally be external economic conditions. Different, so there is a feeling of inferiority regarding poverty.

Although there is no mine at home, why are some people so dazzling when they are young!

Some young people are smart and full of enthusiasm for tomorrow, like a little sun. Everyone likes these young people because they shine with confidence.

It is a pity that there is no screenshot of Professor Xue smiling and looking at the camera. Fortunately, he is a person who relies on wisdom.

He said to the young people: "If you are confident, the road will get wider and wider."
