How to travel to Mongolia?

1. Do it yourself: the visa fee for a single ordinary visa is 405 yuan, and an invitation letter in Mongolian is needed, but it is hard to find. You can try to contact the hotel in Ulaanbaatar, and a certain handling fee may be charged. However, this method is laborious and personally not recommended.

2. Travel agency, the price is around 600-700. If there is a plan to travel to Mongolia and Russia, these agents can generally handle it.

Place of application: Mongolian Embassy in China (Beijing), Consulate General in Hohhot, Consulate General in Erenhot and Consular Office in Shanghai.

Visa requirements: passport valid for at least 6 months, visa application form received by the embassy, invitation letter from Mongolia, and 2 two-inch photos with white background.

Transit visa: If you take the Siberian Railway to Russia, you need to apply for a transit visa, which lasts 72 hours from the entry and cannot be extended. To apply for a transit visa, a copy of the visa, train or air ticket of the final destination is also required, and an invitation letter is not required.
