Every growth is accompanied by pain.
Recently, I watched the TV series "I am a special soldier", which said that Jason Wu and his three recruits stopped to salute the Tiequan regiment when they left. In the process of saluting, there is a monologue that is particularly good.
In the more than 20 years I grew up, I had a lot of important growth, and every growth was accompanied by pain.
When I was a child, I only played and wasted a lot of time. I haven't learned other skills except planing dogs, fishing, climbing trees, catching scorpions, riding bicycles, catching cicadas, playing games, kneading dough, steaming steamed bread, frying shredded potatoes and so on.
Until high school, I lived in a teenager who didn't know what to worry about. I just increased my age and didn't really grow up cognitively.
It was not until the second year of high school that I suddenly realized that I was always wasting my time. I realized the importance of learning and that only learning can really change my destiny as much as possible.
At that time, I studied and analyzed my former junior high school classmates and senior one classmates. Divide students into four quadrants according to IQ and effort.
The first quadrant is: high IQ and high degree of effort. This kind of people's academic performance is basically in the top few, and their performance is quite stable.
The second quadrant is: high IQ and low effort. The academic performance of these people is basically in the middle to the forefront. There are also a few people who have high IQ and low efforts, and can also ensure that their grades are among the best.
The third quadrant is: IQ is not very high, and the degree of hard work is high. This kind of person's academic performance is basically in the middle to the front middle level, and rarely ranks in the forefront.
The fourth quadrant is: low IQ and low effort. The academic performance of such people is basically at the lower and middle level.
When I finished the analysis, I found that I thought I had a high IQ and could get into a good university without great efforts. In the actual exam, I found that my level can't even be admitted to an undergraduate course, let alone a good university.
When I realized my true level, I suddenly felt a sense of guilt and regret. That's a dividing line. From then on, I began to study hard.
To this end, I gave up my favorite table tennis, gave up almost all the entertainment time, and gave up some sleep time. At the beginning of that time, it was very painful.
After class, I watched my classmates play table tennis, but I sat on the table doing my homework. Watching my roommate sleep soundly in the morning, I was quietly getting up and washing. I watched my classmates leave one by one at night, but I was still studying in the classroom.
However, when I got used to this life and saw that my efforts had a good result, I realized that all the pain was worth it.
This kind of growth made me realize the importance of personal efforts, and also realized the pain of leaving the comfort zone and moving towards the growth zone.

The second time I grew up, I was in college. Until now, I understand that the university is not to learn some professional knowledge or simply acquire a skill, but to gain a free growth experience, but to provide a free growth soil.
In college, I only joined a club, a sports club, the school water polo team, and finally became the captain of the water polo team. When I was a graduate student, I also taught swimming by swimming skills. I paid off the student loan, saved some and spent some on traveling and investing. These experiences helped me to grow at a high speed again.
The above is just an episode. I didn't expect swimming to produce such gorgeous flowers and such rich fruits.
In fact, before I went to college, my physical fitness was very poor. In high school, I spent most of my time studying and had no time to exercise.
I remember when I was in high school, I once participated in the school's long-distance relay race, and I was selected as a substitute. So, I took the initiative to find a friend and said that she took me to practice. She is a member of the school sports team. She took me to the playground for eight laps, and I couldn't run any more. The race was 10 km.
When I was in college, I realized the importance of health by listening to the dean's lecture and decided to run every day. At that time, I went to study by myself until nine o'clock every night, wearing our school uniform and leather shoes and carrying my schoolbag to run. You can easily run 10 laps after running for about a week.
When I started running, I couldn't run, but I still felt tired. Every time my friend urges me, I go running by myself, running less than him. After running for a long time, I fell in love with running. Basically, you can run five days a week and do more than ten laps at a time.
This kind of running practice lasted about three years. At the end of the second semester of junior year, my friend asked me, "Have you signed up for the whole marathon?" This may be the last chance during school. "
All my friends said so, so I signed up with my friends. Finally finished the game in four and a half hours.
The experience of that marathon made me realize that life is like a marathon. It doesn't matter how fast you run at the starting point, what matters is whether you have been running the whole course.

The most recent increase was in the year of paying cognitive tax. On the cognitive tax, I paid four or five thousand yuan, and what I gained was not only the anxiety of slow growth, but also the growth in practice.
