Ms. Yang is also a delegate to the 4th and 5th National Women's Congresses, a member of the 4th and 5th Executive Committees of the All-China Women's Federation, a member of the Beijing Commission for Discipline Inspection, a member of the Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and a member of the Standing Committee of the 6th, 7th and 8th Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference.

After becoming a famous star, Ms. Yang never used it as a capital to lend a helping hand to the organization. No matter which post the party organization put her in, she was conscientious and always spared no effort to complete the tasks assigned to her by the organization until 1994 died of illness.
