Two. Procedures to be performed when applying for a passport

(1) A citizen who goes abroad for personal reasons may apply to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ of the city or county where his household registration is located with his resident ID card, household registration book and other household registration certificates, and receive and fill out the Application Form for China Citizens Going Abroad for Private Purposes;

(2) Submit 5 recent bareheaded color photos (specifications are 2 inches 32 mm x 40 mm);

(3) Submit certificates corresponding to the reasons for leaving the country;

(4) Submit other supporting materials deemed necessary by the entry-exit administration department.

Three, go abroad to visit relatives and friends must provide proof.

(1) invitation letter: it can be a formal invitation letter or an ordinary letter with invitation contents; It can also be a telegram or telex with invitation content;

(2) The residence certificate of the inviter in the destination country: it can be the valid residence permit of the inviter in the destination country, or a copy of the valid ID card (such as passport, etc.). ) used by the inviter in the destination country;

(3) Citizens over the age of 60 and citizens under the age of 16 who go abroad with their parents (or guardians) are exempt from the invitation letter of relatives and friends and the residence certificate of the inviter in the country where they go (a copy of their parents' or guardians' passports is required for those under the age of 16).

Four, at their own expense to study abroad must provide proof.

(1) Notice of Admission (the entry-exit administration department shall also submit proof of economic guarantee when necessary);

(2) Persons with college education or above (studying in the national plan) must also submit the Certificate of Qualification Examination for Self-study Abroad issued by the provincial teaching department;

(3) If you study at college or above at your own expense in China, submit the receipt certificate for studying at your own expense or the certificate for studying at your own expense issued by the academic affairs office of the school.

Five, individuals traveling abroad at their own expense must provide proof.

Proof of foreign exchange expenses required for travel should be provided. When the entry-exit administrative department deems it necessary, the applicant shall also submit an invitation letter and a letter of guarantee from overseas relatives and friends. To participate in a tour group organized by a travel agency with more than three persons to travel outside the destination countries and regions approved by the State Council, it shall submit a full travel invoice and an audit certificate issued by the tour group organizer and stamped with the seal of "Travel at one's own expense, no reimbursement".

Six, individuals go abroad for employment, must provide proof of labor service.

When an individual goes abroad for employment, he must submit the employment and employment certificate of the employer or employer that has legal effect in the country where he goes. A legally binding certificate refers to a certificate notarized by the notary office of the destination country or certified by Chinese embassies and consulates abroad. The overseas laborers assisted by the labor service company shall submit the labor export certificate confirmed by the labor export agency that has the right to operate overseas labor services. Where an overseas employment service agency assists in overseas employment, it shall submit the employment contract signed by the applicant and the overseas employer confirmed by the overseas employment service agency with the right to operate overseas employment.
