The travel date has been set. Can my passport be expedited?

Passports can be expedited. When filling in the application form, the Administrative Measures for the Issuance of Ordinary Passports and Entry-Exit Passes of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Administrative Measures) formulated by the Ministry of Public Security was officially implemented in June 5438+February 65438+May 2007. China citizens who go abroad to attend funerals or visit seriously ill patients can apply for expedited ordinary passports. If it meets the requirements, the public security organs will refine and supplement the provisions of the Passport Law in the Administrative Measures, and for the first time, clarify four conditions for handling expedited passports:

1. Go abroad for funeral or visit critically ill patients;

2. The start date of studying abroad is approaching;

3. The entry permit or visa of the destination country is about to expire;

4. Other urgent reasons identified by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ of the provincial local people's government.

An expedited passport usually takes more than three days, which is not very expensive, but it is generally not allowed to be expedited. Go there and ask if you meet the above four conditions.
