Litang County belongs to Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, which is located in the west of Sichuan Province and the southwest of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and belongs to the southeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Located at 99 19' ~ 100 56' east longitude and 28 57' ~ 30 43' north latitude, between Jinsha River and Yalong River, in the middle section of Hengduan Mountains, in the territory of Shah Lu.

Terrain of Litang County:

Litang county is dominated by hilly plateau and mountain plain, with some alpine valleys. Due to the uplift of orogeny, the terrain in the central part of the west fluctuates greatly, tilting to the southeast and northeast.
