Mauritius is an island country in the Indian Ocean with rich natural resources, pleasant climate and beautiful beaches. It is known as the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean". The famous American writer Mark Twain mentioned in his personal travelogue "Following the Equator": "Some people say that God created Mauritius before creating heaven, and that paradise was actually created based on Mauritius."

The best season to travel to Mauritius

The climate in Mauritius is warm throughout the year, with an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The weather is cooler from May to October, with temperatures ranging from 17 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. Between November and April, the temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius; January to April is the rainy season, and the weather is the most comfortable from April to June and September to November. During this period, traveling to Mauritius is the best time. Not suitable.

Chinese citizens are visa-free when traveling to Mauritius. As long as you have a valid return ticket, hotel reservation and sufficient funds, you can apply for a visa on arrival when you arrive in Mauritius. There is no charge for applying for a visa on arrival.

Coins of 5 cents, 20 cents, 1 rupee, 5 rupees and 10 rupees, banknotes of 25 rupees, 50 rupees, 100 rupees, 200 rupees, 500 rupees, 1000 rupees and 2000 rupees. International credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard can be used in hotels and shopping malls.

Currency exchange

Travelers' checks generally offer better exchange rates than cash. Banks do not charge fees for currency exchange. Remember to bring your passport when exchanging currency.
