The plane will shake, please don't hold the heavy camera in your hand, it will hit the passenger's head. Therefore, even if you are flying smoothly and horizontally, you should tie the camera belt around your neck and hold the numbers tightly.

It is generally possible to take pictures on the plane, but some countries or airlines prohibit it.

Use manual focusing.

It is best not to use autofocus mode. When shooting through thick glass, the camera often appears dazzling. And it may look a little shabby, dirty and scratched. In this case, the focus may be set incorrectly. Therefore, please use manual focusing.

Common mistakes

One of the most common mistakes in shooting through portholes is to install the camera lens near the glass, hoping to minimize the reflection of the glass and stabilize the camera. It seems that this makes sense, but in fact-the camera is excessively shaken by the plane and the image is blurred.

The best choice is to install a hood to keep the camera as close to the porthole as possible without touching the porthole. If there is no hood, please cover the edge of the lens with your bare hands to reduce glare.

At the beginning of the flight, the picture will be better

You can wait for the plane to take off for a while before taking pictures. During a long flight, condensation will form on the glass, which will be atomized and then frozen on it. At the beginning of flight, glass is usually more transparent.

Grab the plane and have a bird's eye view when turning.

When the plane flies horizontally, it is not always easy to photograph the beautiful earth. Because the porthole is small and the shooting angle is inconvenient. But when the plane turns, the wing is almost perpendicular to the ground. Usually, this control occurs after takeoff or before landing, that is, when flying flat. At this time, you can take an interesting bird's eye view of the earth, get ready and seize these moments, they won't last long.

Don't use the flash.

You can't use the flash in this case, because the exposure is not enough, and the halo emitted by the flash in the picture will definitely remain.

Looking for photo highlights

Sometimes, from the window, everything is interesting, and then, looking at the photos, you will find that there is no feature in the photos, even boring.

Find an interesting central theme and choose the background carefully. It may be the wing or engine of the plane, beautiful clouds, the top of the mountain, another plane, coastline, unusual changes in the scenery under the plane or sunset.
