Luanchuan County is located in the west of Henan Province, bordering Song County in the east, Lushi in the west, Xixia in the south and Jian Mo in Luoning in the north. Known as "Luoyang Back Garden" and "Luoyang South Gate". Luanchuan county has a total area of 2,477 square kilometers, and is known as "four rivers, three mountains, two rivers, nine mountains, half water and half fields". The county seat is 750 meters above sea level and is the highest county seat in Henan Province.
