Sichuan Tourism University is a pilot university for the overall transformation, development and reform of undergraduate colleges in Sichuan Province, the vice-chairman unit of China Cuisine Association, the vice-chairman unit of the World Federation of Chinese Cuisine Industry, and the "Overseas Chinese Exchange Project-Chinese Food Prosperity Base". The school, formerly known as Sichuan Cuisine College, was founded in May 1985. It was originally a college under the Ministry of Commerce. 1998, due to the reform of the university system, transferred to the head of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government; 20 12 in March, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Sichuan College of Sichuan Cuisine and Sichuan College of Agricultural Management Cadres merged to form Sichuan Tourism College. 20 13 April, the Ministry of Education officially approved the establishment of Sichuan Tourism College.
