Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou Province.

Guiyang is located in the middle of Guizhou Province. The city borders Anshun City in the southwest, Bijie City in the northwest, Zunyi City in the north and Qiannan Prefecture in the east. Located in the eastern part of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the hilly area of central Guizhou, the watershed of the Yangtze River basin and the Pearl River basin.

Guiyang is the political, economic, cultural, educational, transportation and tourism service center of the whole province. The southwest region connects the transportation and communication hub and logistics distribution center of the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta, and it is an eco-tourism leisure and holiday tourist city.
